Description
It all started in 1986. Sure, many things have changed since the early days of Harpoon, but much has stayed the same. We still love brewing beer and enjoying it with friends.

In July 2014, Harpoon became an employee owned company, with 48% of the company given to employees through the establishment of an ESOP. An E-what? ESOP stands for Employee Stock Ownership Plan. It is a mechanism by which a company contributes to its employees’ retirement by allocating shares to them which it repurchases…..yadda, yadda, yadda… Here’s what it means: we are employee owned, we are an independent craft brewer, and you bet we’re damn proud of it.

Bottle. Gold in color with a two finger head. Aroma was watery with grains. Taste is well balanced but weak.

Bottle. Gold in color with a three finger head. Fruity in aroma and taste. It really wasn't all that good.

Bottle. Not an Irish beer. Maybe a California beer. Way too much hop and not much malt. It's an IPA all the way.

Bottle. Amber in color with a two and a half head. Taste and aroma are both well balanced. Taste is slightly sweet upfront with a tad of hoppiness in the finish.

Can. Gold in color with a three finger head. Let's be honest. If you like pineapple, you'll this beer. If pineapple is just ok for you, you'll hate this beer. I loved it. Nuff said.

Bottle. Hazy orange, with a large white head. Aroma is upfront orange zest and sweet Clementine juice. Light corriander, and soft wheat. Mouth feel is full, carb is light. Low bitterness, slightly buttery malted wheat with a potentially fake orange flavouring. Meh, not as clean, or crisp as id like for my tastes.

Typical american ipa. Good amounts of citrucy hops, light bready malts. Good carbonation, pretty straigh forward, solid, but nothing mind blowing.

clear amber pour, fluffy white head. Nice bready malty aroma with some nice creamy subtle hops, and a little spicy. Flavor is a touch spicy with some nice hops, and agreat bready finish. Interesting beer, really nice, and drinkable.
