Bottled. Amber colour with a small slightly off-white head. Aroma is citrus, some dill and mild herbal tones. Flavour is grapefruit, lychee and some dill with mild herbal and some sweet malts as well. Interesting, considering what hops are in it.

2017 vintage served in June of 24. Big, rich, some harshness in the aroma. Monstrous figgy caramel red fruits. Some harsh cheap alcohol tones like this was aged some crappy barrel. Sort of punishing to drink. OK basic flavors, but everything else falls short. Unimpressive.

Tap at Lakefront. Not really black, more brown/amber. Caramelish, butterscotch diacetyl perhaps Hops are earthy and don't quite work. Drinkable, but not a good example of the style.

12 fl oz can purchased at the brewery. Now listed with 9.1% abv on the can. Hazy golden with an one finger white head in the glass. Floweresque aroma with honey. Taste starts smooth, floral hop bitterness, increasing malt, some orange. Tropical elements and resin. More bitterness in the second part and present alcoholic. Low carbonated. Nice one.

0,355 l can purchased at their brewpub today, drunk at a hotel room after the Brewers victory against Toronto. Clear amber in the glass, more than one finger pale beige head. Malty aroma, little toasted. Taste is also on the malty side, some present bitterhop. High drinkability. Nice one!

They were pouring samples at Legacy. It comes as advertised, a lime forward, saline light ale, designed to refresh folks who aren't really into beer.

I haven't had a pretzel beer yet that was good, but this might be the closest. The pretzel flavor is mild, more of an odd American Wheat. Unfortunately the sorghumish flavor of the new malt starts to come through in a sweet bland way, not really a good substitute for barley. Drinkable, but.not.so impressive.

Cask at Lakefront. Odd combination. Cask for a 9 percent beer is odd, the lime is wholly undesirable, and the base beer is pretty sugary and boring too. Didn't do it for me, would certainly not recommend a full pour.

The aromas are an okay blend of citrus and wet grain. Flavors are similar to nose, add in a bit of MJ and flavors are on the sweet side. Touch of old resin. Just drinkable.
