12 oz bottle. Aroma is bourbon, vanilla, wood. Pours opaque rusty orange with a thin beige head that reduces into a ring pretty quickly. Taste has nice bourbon character and is quite different than your average bourbon barrel beer.

500 l can. Clean golden beer under a fizzly head. Fruity smell with apricot and papaya. Stone fruit juice in the taste, too. Then there's some nice prickly hop sharpness. For it's high alcohol and surprise hoppiness, It's a very easy drinker.

12 oz can. Aroma has faint notes of coconut, pine, citrus peel. Pours hazy golden with a one finger off-white head with decent retention. Taste has a moderate pithy bitterness with tropical hop and piney flavors. Way above average for a Voodoo Ranger.

Buck can off clearance rack at JR's. Pour is mostly clear light pale with a big foamy head that lasts for a few minutes. Mildly sweet pleasant pale lager nose, comes across rather fresh. Very clean taste on the first swig, good amount of fresh cut hay in here. Easy going, friendly. Very inoffensive, no ill manners in this at all. Nice clean noble hops attitude, very little hop bitterness, if any at all. To say this was a premium lager, is probably a misnomer; this is certainly more like one of the better tasting american macro pale lagers. JMHO, its styled incorrectly. Really enjoying this session, should have picked up a six pack instead of a single. Refreshing, got to the end of the can before I knew it! Nice job NB, a great session brew. Rarely does a craft brewery make a very good plain old pale lager! Could easily drink a few of these and never get tired of the session. If this pale lager is a premium, one of the best 'premium' lagers I've had in a long time.

OK, how many blasted IPAs does NB market under the Voodoo label? Three hundred fitty thousand? Must be only a hundred fewer than the number of IPA out there, which is four quadrillion. Well, when you see the word voodoo on a NB can, you are in for a terribly on style IPA shock to the pie hole and this is no exception. That fruity smell on the pop of this 1$ can, is just a ruse. Taste is a bitter assault to the bazoo, a thrash to the chops, a mush pummel, a duff up on the potato trap and a knock about to the yap. Rude crude and again very on style. Bitter bastard this is. Sometimes I think that NB just renames an older voddoo ranger to release a re-badge as bait for the ticker whores. Fer sher, so many taste the same, no kidden. Well at least it has some co2 in there to make it somewhat drinklable to a pale macro lager lover.

Bottle, 2025 vintage. Caramel malt aroma with notes of toffee, dark fruit, vanilla, oak and bourbon. Pours clear copper colored with a half a finger of tan head that has excellent retention and lacing. Starts with caramel, toffee and dark fruit flavors as well as having a medium body and smooth mouthfeel. Finishes quite smooth with vanilla, bourbon and oak flavors. Pretty nice.

Pours reddish brown with a white head. Aroma of raspberry. Taste has heavy caramel, some soft fruit notes, more raspberry. Palate has stone fruits, some heavy malt. Not terrible.

Draft at Trainwreck. Pours dark brown, with a fairly big, frothy, beige head. The nose is vanilla, bright raspberry, butterscotch, light pipe tobacco, and cocoa. Sweet and malty, with a mild, musty tartness. Medium body, a bit sharp, and chewy. Beautiful, complex and clean.
