Mahogany color that an average sized head can be coaxed from with a good pour. Nice complex aroma of malt, dried fruit, and yeast. Full well rounded flavor. Not a bad Dubbel. Re-rate I dropped it a point each on palate for being thinner than some I’ve tried since and a point overall.

Bottle Pours a common looking slightly hazy, light amber. A modest fizzy that dissapated after a moment leaving a little lacing. Aroma is swet, fruity, a bit of spice. Busy. Flavor is a medley of tastes. Cloves, floral, a bit sweet, a little malty and hops. The after taste is slightly darker and woody. Finish is smooth a heavy. In a good way. Abbey Tripels are a good thing.

On Tap Arrived with a nice head that stayed for a few minutes. The lacing was very robust, nearly coating the glas as I drank it down the frst few inches. A medium unfiltered amber and the smell was faint and pleasant, sweet, malty and yeasty. Yes it was sweet, creamy, smooth and soft. Very tasty. I had this in a bottle before and this time was much better. Palate was thick, creamy, smooth and a bit heavy. Was pleasently surprised due to previous experience.

I guess i was expecting a lot from a brewery called new belgium and my expectations got the better of me. This beer was low on taste, body and aroma. It did not differentiate itself at all. I was highly disappointed.

Pours a muddy amber with a nice tan head. Flavor is malty and i get lots of raisons. There is some lingering hops in the swallow. A very nice beer expierince in my opinion. Available almost everywhere and worth trying.

I’m rarely wowed by wheat beers, but occasionally I stumble across one that really does the trick; this was one of them. Nice golden, with a crip looking head. Lemony wheated scent... flavor is smooth, crisp lemon, wheat, orange peel. Very nice! Had it on tap at the Yes Bar in San Fran.

Pours with a fairly clear orange body and a minimal off-white head. Aroma of bananas, clove, citrus, white grape, and sugar. Flavor is very tart and sweet, peppery and spicy, with notes of citrus and banana. Rather earthy finish. Solid, though I’d prefer the clove and pepper be toned down.

I had heard so many great things about this beer, so I gave it a shot. Not overly impressed by any means, but didn’t dislike it. It’s kinda complex, with lots of flavors going on, but mainly a roasted hop thing, that’s not great, but not bad.

Pours a cloudy see through yellow. Nice head that stays around for awhile. Flavor is a doughy citrus with hints of bananas and cloves. Nice beer in so many ways, excellent flavor and appearence. Bravo for New Belgium for making a excellent tripple here in the states.

Pour looks like honey with no head. Aroma is a nice balance of hops and citrus. Flavor is hops and a lemon lime combo.. The flavor dulls to almost nothing on the swallow and it leave a bitterness on the back of the throat. Ok I guess nothing to get excited about. Its something different.
