Description
Blue Moon is known for its Belgian-Style Wheat Ale which was created in 1995 by Keith Villa, a brewer at the Sandlot Brewery at Coors Field, Denver. It was originally brewed in the Coors brewery in Golden, Colorado. In the summer of 2016 a new state-of-the-art brewery was opened in Denver’s RiNo District. Since then we have been brewing fan favorites (old and new), and experimenting with new and unique ingredients on our pilot brewing system.

(bottle 0,33l) Overall: Refreshing, drinkable, a bit too much coriander. Aroma: Strong coriander, sweet, herbal/spicy (reminds beer-spa salts). Appearance: Cloudy orange. Minimal white head. Taste: Strong coriander, medium sweet, orange peel, some herbal, light spicy, light bitter. Palate: Light-medium body. Bitter, light spicy finish.

Pour is a hazy blonde with a large white head. Aroma is some faint whiffs of coffee and some malty sweetness. Flavor is more faint coffee notes and a big time honey sweetness. They could have 86'ed the honey or lessened it a bit as this is really sweet. The coffee is decent though.

12 ounce bottle from Woodman's Appleton, 11/14/19. A meaty wisp as I opened it. Hazy amber, large fizzy white head, fair retention. Aroma of sweet sugary coffee and a citrusy note. Taste is coffee, citrus, something odd. Wheat? Thin. Not bad, but just comes together oddly.

Somehow I never got around to rating this one. Seems I've had it many times over the years but never bothered to note it. Well here it is in Cyprus on tap of all places! Has medium cloudy body and modest foam, sharp coriander aroma. Flavour is orange citrus and coriander. Crisp finish. Unique and reliable, must be why it's so ubiquitous.
