Description
Blue Moon is known for its Belgian-Style Wheat Ale which was created in 1995 by Keith Villa, a brewer at the Sandlot Brewery at Coors Field, Denver. It was originally brewed in the Coors brewery in Golden, Colorado. In the summer of 2016 a new state-of-the-art brewery was opened in Denver’s RiNo District. Since then we have been brewing fan favorites (old and new), and experimenting with new and unique ingredients on our pilot brewing system.

Under Belgian Moon LightSky in Canada, pouring a golden-yellow colour with some unfiltered tiny particles. The white head is almost creamy with good retention and lacing. Big citrus aromas with orange juice and lemon peel. The taste shows some honey notes with hints of the citrus. Gets hazy at last pour. It is refreshing and tasty for a low alcohol beer. Just a tad rich all-around (in a macro way), but decent.

Ljust gyllene gult. Kraftigt grumlad vätska och ett gråvitt skum. Liten doft av våt disktrasa. Smakar definitivt av något som legat i städskåpet. Denna var inte angenäm någonstans.

Tangerine, wheat malt, and straw aroma. Cloudy pale yellow with small white head. Mildly sweet tangerine, light wheat malt, and very lightly bitter straw flavor. Light watery body. Not bad for what it is.

16 ounce can from Woodman's Northland, 4/17/20. Hazy yellow, large foamy white head, good retention. Aroma of wheat, tangerine, lemmon ice. Taste is lemon peel, wheat, dry orange. Thin, refreshing, high carb. Good summer beer I guess.

Perfectly clear golden coloured body with a two to three centimetre tall off-white and even tan head that stays afloat nicely. Aroma of super pungent brewed coffee with some white chocolate and a little bit of earthy and nutty malt towards the end with some significant sugary notes at the finish. Medium-bodied; Very strong coffee, cream, lactose and earthy flavours at first with a ton of sweet robust, earthy and very deep flavours that show a cloying amount of sweetness throughout with a little bitterness, but this really is all about the chocolate and especially the white chocolate notes and much less about the coffee. Aftertaste shows some super strong and pungent malt and earthy notes that gives way to some lighter sweetness and robust coffee and cream flavours that make this slightly more drinkable, but the sweet and chocolate notes are very cloying and strong. Overall, a pungent and very sweet, chocolatey and coffee-y beer that shows more lactose and cream notes than anything else, but a lot of earth, coffee and vanilla, as well. Not worth trying to find of course, but If you already have one and can make it past the pungent sweetness, than this can be okay! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Harris Teeter in Arlington (Potomac Yard), Virginia on 08-April-2020 for US$1,87 sampled at my house here in Washington a day later on 09-April-2020.

Pours clear amber with a frothy white head and heavy carbonation. Aroma of tangerines, grapefruit, hibiscus. Taste has flat malt notes, hints of citrus. Palate is weak. Disappointing.
