Description
Blue Moon is known for its Belgian-Style Wheat Ale which was created in 1995 by Keith Villa, a brewer at the Sandlot Brewery at Coors Field, Denver. It was originally brewed in the Coors brewery in Golden, Colorado. In the summer of 2016 a new state-of-the-art brewery was opened in Denver’s RiNo District. Since then we have been brewing fan favorites (old and new), and experimenting with new and unique ingredients on our pilot brewing system.

[12oz bottle from Albertson's, Fullerton, CA.] A hazy amber pour with a thin creamy white head; aroma of malt and weak coffee; stronger iced coffee taste, with a creamy body; and a sweeter finish with a trace of vanilla. Oddly drinkable.

Can: Poured a hazy blonde color ale with a medium size foamy head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma of sweet wheat malt with some mango juice is enjoyable. Taste is also dominated by sweet wheat malt with some fresh mango juice is refreshing. Body is about average with good carbonation. Sure this is a bit fake and overly sweet but still refreshing.

Bottle from Sainsburys. Cloudy pale blond with short-lived white bubbly head. Aroma is a bit soapy, bit creamy malt, lots of wheat. Taste quite creamy, bit of lemon, something strange in there too. Not so much wheat but a hint there. Bit of butter too and something herbal. Not so bad, but not really that great.

Lekker.
