Bottle brought back from Denver. Hazy light yellow with a short lived white head and lots of sheeting. Sharp spicy flower aroma. Bitter sharp a little chemically and musty. So this is Brett. I like it.

Bottle from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours translucent gold with a creamy/foamy white head. Moderate brett aroma. Med body or better. Flavor is brett, sweatsox, light stone fruit. Some tropical fruit. Could be citrus, but the brett makes that hard to discern. Finishes towards very dry, but there’s still a bit of sweet fruit. Malt? There’s malt here? Think I can get some oak - that astringency comes from somewhere. Do we need malt to carry hop, if the yeast is brett? Inquiring minds want to know! This is elegant, tasty ale.

Bottle, thanks to Bruce at the Tuesday Horal Chugging Tasting. It pours cloudy pale golden orange with a medium white head. The nose soft, fruity, orange, apricot, peach, bruised banana, candy, barnyard, brett and cobwebs. The taste is crisp, tart orange, apricot, peach, zesty lemon, straw, earthy, brett, cobwebs, mild acidity, floral and decent bitterness with a dry, tart finish. Medium body and fine, foamy carbonation. A bit too sweet on the nose, but pretty delicious.

Bottle - cloudy gold - moderate carbonation that fails to kick up much of a head - nose has some pleasant sweet citrus and musky brett, but there is also an undercurrent of acidity that is almost bile-like in character (this dissipates a bit as it opens up, though) - flavor is sharply acidic and overly woody (the later is about all I can taste in the finish) - as happens from time to time with CS brews, the acidity and wood cover up otherwise decent aspects of the beer (in this case, mild floral notes, light brett funk, and mildly sweet citrus) - very sharp finish of bitter oakiness that lingers forever on the palate - I should have grabbed a Hop Savant instead.

Craft Clerkenwell, Tuesday Horal Chugging Tasting, bottle big thanks to Bruce, 17/09/13. Hazed pale golden with a good sized off white head. Nose is bretts, light hop notes, tarte citrus fruit, orange sherbet, toasty malts. Taste comprises juicy citrus, light sour tones, bretty notes, earthy, horseblanket, orange pith, grass. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry finish with brett notes once again evident. Great stuff.

12.7 oz. bottle, sent from mista (thanks a lot, Geoff), pours a deep dark mahogany / amber brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out tart red wine notes, tart dark fruits, a touch of whiskey and booze - very complex. Flavour brings out loads of soured dark fruits, a little vanilla, and some vinous notes. Extremely sour / tart, though it doesn't make it difficult to drink in any way. The alcohol is well-masked, likely drowned out by the sourness and rather lively carbonation that is present. Complex, well-balanced, slow-ish sipper. Great stuff.

12.7 oz. bottle, sent from mista (thanks a lot, Geoff), pours an opaque dark orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out a mix of zestiness, white wine notes, and oak - a touch of funk as well. Flavour is fairly tart for a saison with lots of wine barrels showing up, with low funk, and a little citrus. The vinous notes are front and centre, but are not overburdening. Highly drinkable and elegant. Excellent stuff.

Craft Clerkenwell. Tuesday Horal Chugging Tasting! Very hazy gold beer with a small white head. Light airy palate with light and fine carbonation. Very light geuzy sourness with mildly tropical fruits hpos, fairly grapey. Molding it all together is light floralness. Finishes light. A tasty a little number!

Nose brings out the funky brett above anything, followed by wheat and a touch of citrus. Flavour brings out loads of citrus and brett upfront, though the citrus outshines as it's extremely citric (!), followed by a touch of wheat. Very astringency citrusy notes upfront, followed by moderate funky brett notes. Highly drinkable and refreshing. Wonderful stuff.
