Canned 500ml. -found somewhere in Paris. Pale golden coloured, medium sized white head, almost neutral nose; just hardly detectible cardboard without any trace of alcohol. Sweet malty, moderate alcoholic and some glue with rather alcoholic finish. Rather usual ESL but to be honest expected something worse.

Yes, another bottom-shelf strong lager, found in Paris. The design of these labels tells me that all of these things are probably all made in the same place and then a little extra paint thinner is added depending on how strong it’s supposed to be. So I chilled this extensively, and it will be seved extra cold, which is probably a good thing. Pours orange with a little bit of head. Aroma of detergent perfumes, lemon, and corn. Taste is heavy syrup, wood, aluminum, hay. Bone dry finish. Could be a lot worse, which is about all I can say about it that’s good.

50cl can; some obscure low key supermarket that shall remain unnamed. golden color, white head. nasty, overly sweet palate, terrible odor of fructose with fake hop extract. How much more fake additives and extracts can you add in a beer to make it somewhat drinkable? Thanks Heineken.

33 cL bottle, courtesy of Bov. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is cornish and slight acidic. Flat malty and slight cardboardish flavoured. Dry malty and light cornish into a dry and vague acidic finish.

Migrating this rating from the old listing. I think this one is more correct. Here are my notes:
Took me a while to find this listing. Bought in Paris. Listed as 8.0 Royal Club Strong beer Premium at 8% from distributor D.L.P., Z.I. de Gretz. Half liter can. Large white head that is somewhat creamy. Decent retention and light lacing. Clear deep yellow body. Some malts and grassy hops, corn and sugar, smells like a lot of Macros. Taste is nothing, then alcohol, then metal, then alcohol, then metal again. Surprisingly not that unrefined till the end. At first it tastes a bit like an ice bock, and then corny. Watery and and light bubbles. Overall not that bad.

Pours gold with a fizzy white head. Aroma is grainy with some herbal/grassy hop. Medium plus body with frothy carbonation. It has a bite, but I think that’s heat, not hop. It’s a malt liquor. Finishes mildy sweet. Certainly not dry, anyway.
