Not much aroma - hint of yeast. Flavor nothing unique - very little body on this beer - only a slight hint of the typical fruit / clove flavor with a sour finish but okay for a Kristall. Probably not the best choice unless it’s the only Weizen you can get.

Fairly non-descript but strong bitter flavor - this is the bitterest pils I’ve ever had in Europe. Also had it on tap, seemed less bitter - much more enjoyable. / 5-31-2025 - Revisiting one of my first RateBeer ticks just over 21 years later. Pale yellow with moderate head. Barley malt and grass aroma. Mildly sweet barley malt, and moderately bitter grass/fresh hay flavor. Good body. Like this much better than initially. Hoppy by German standards.

Hoppy aroma, little head. Very light taste for a German beer. Not bad if you want a mild beer but not much flavor. A good beer if you’re hot and thirsty but avoid if you want a beer with a strong flavor.

2004 bottle. Good deep yellow color, clear with a decent white head. Smells crisp and lagerish, with some sour yeast notes, and the typical honeyish smell. Some almond-like nuttiness. Good hops flavor up front, lightly bitter, mildly herbal with a sweet low alcohol flavored malt (mildly sour). Cookies and dough come to mind, but it finishes mostly clean, with a touch of zing. As far as low alcohols go, this one is quite good, lacking the typical stale malt and sickly sweet flavors. It’s like a low alcohol light, pretty good medium-light to light body. Watery, bubbly.

A yellow beer with a fine white head. The aroma is of hops, grass, and oil. The flavor is malty and hoppy in the beginning, but then sour grassy in the end. A good start but a very bad finish and the body is thin.

Bottled Starts out kinda tasty as fizzy malt teas go. Pours amber under a thick head that looks slightly processed. A nice malty taste and, for once, a pleasing snootful of German hops. Then a strange barrage of off flavors and sugars sets in. It's nice that there's an NA beer that tries to make up for itself by adding some hops, but this still needs some work.

Draft. Curiously, I could find no information about this online, but there it was on tap at the Map Room in Chicago. It’s a pretty good Marzen, as it happens, and would be a heady Oktoberfest. Very fruity flavor for a lager.

Paper and soda aroma. Pale golde, unstable head. Cardboard and straw taste. Thin - thin - that a tinny sound -not woody at all.

Golden color, head is initially large, frothy, white. Aroma of wort, rotten hops. Taste is hoppy and grainy, with a artificial rotten palate.
