Description

Bottle 10% as Kerst Snol. Good malty aroma, slightly spicy with notes of dark sugar. Looks hazy with a very dark chestnut colour. Big stable rocky off-white head. The flavour is sweet and malty with a good bitterness and some fruity notes. Dried fruit and a pleasant peppery alcohol finish. Pepper and cream aftertaste.

330ml bottle [as "Kerstsnol"]. Slightly cloudy, mahogany colour with weak ruby shimmer and average, frothy, diminishing, minimally lacing, tan head. Yeasty fruity and caramel malty aroma, hints of dried fruit, raisin, a touch of dark honey, yeasty spicy overtones with a touch of liquorice. Taste sweet-ish, caramel malty, slightly yeasty fruity and yeasty spicy, hints of dried fruit, raisin, some liquorice, clove, slightly bitter, hoppy counterpart.
Dissolved sugar enriched, watery texture, smooth, minimally cloying, simultaneously slightly dry palate, medium to fine, dense, creamy, mildly prickly carbonation.
Balanced, not overly complex - OK.

Bottle at home. Aroma is sweet malt, caramel, brown sugar, some dark fruity notes, raisins, spicy. Flavour is sweet, a bit sticky. Medium bodied. Could have used more depth, it’s a bit onedimensional. Overall a bit too sweet for my taste.
