Caraway and rye aroma. Brown, no carbonation. Medium palate. Some lettuce and caramel malt. One of the better "specialty grain" beers I have had.

Bottle. Dark, almost black beer with a light tan head. Chocolate aroma with light roast/coffee. Roasty, chocolate, malt flavor with backing hops. Medium-plus bodied. Lingering roast, some chocolate, and malt. More hops than expected for a chocolate stout.

@Indiana Beerfest-12oz bottle-pours a rich to patchy off white head that laces and gold color. Aroma is caramel-medium malt, secondary pine hops. Taste is caramel-medium malt, secondary pine hops with detractors-comes across as a dry/bitter/malty APA with over boiled hops. OK carbonation.

22oz bomber bottle. Deep ruby red-brown color. Sugar amber malt characteristics, with that adjuncty sweetness that rye can impart. The aroma is cinnamon or nutmeg-like, I suppose my detective instinct would lead me to believe caraway seed..something unexpected. This beer further proves that rye is best used in moderation, unless of course you are talking about the Jersey City variety. This beer is well balanced in some ways, but I really am not into the rye base. For me, this beer is dedicated to Candy Dona of Quarryville PA, one of the finest women to have walked the planet. May her memory live on.

Bottle from Bevmo in Solana Beach. This beer pours a ruby-brown color with a thin and fizzy off-white head that burns away quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of grain, malt and acetone. Light-bodied with flavors of malt, perfumed hops and paint thinner. The finish is grainy and malty with an astringent finish. Not very enjoyable at all.

Bomber from Enniskillen; Nose is yeasty ryebread, strong caramel, and light vanilla and clove notes; rust red with a small cinnamon tinged, beige head; flavor of light hop bitterness, caramel, and a little rye; finish is light bitterness and alcohol warmth and more rye; Bison gets no respect because it’s organic; this one is way underrated and is an excellent beer!

Bomber from Sam’s Wines, Downers Grove. Deep brown ale color, thin light head. Nut brown ale smell, with extra rye spiciness. I never cared for caraway in my rye, but let’s see. Slides out of my shaker glass pretty nicely. Caraway does not bother me, it’s just well blended in to a style that can throw off some nice spicy notes anyway. Nutty. Carbonation tilts a bit to the creamy slide. Honey on a biscuit as we approach the finish. A great balance of spices that complements a rich malty body, aided by a cut back on the West Coast hops to a well-done Noble spiciness.

16.9oz bottle-pours a retaining off white head and cloudy gold color. Aroma is herbal, spice, yeast. Taste is medium malt, herbal, spice, yeast, some/sour vinegar. Not sure what they were aiming for but… Thanks to decaturstevo for sharing.

Courtesy of Tony – Oldsmar Tap House. Pours clear copper with weak off white head. The aroma is malty, roasty and semi sweet caramel malts that move toward mild fruity esters and floral perfume hop notes. Over all a mild aroma. The taste is the same with caramel and roasty to crystal malts along with mild fruity esters and floral and maybe pine hoppiness. Nice.
