(On tap) Amber coloured, slightly hazy with a small head. Almost no aroma, no flavour and no body. Incredibly characterless beer with no real traces of malt nor hops. That doesn’t leave much idea of a beer, does it? 220505

(On tap) Pale amber colour, slightly hazy with a creamy head leaving a fine lacework. Very distinct malt character without being sweet. Very dry - but not really bitter - hoppy finish. Very quenching indeed. 220505

(On tap) Dark amber colour with a small head. The smoke aroma is surprisingly weak considering the 45% smoke malt. Very light body, very light bitterness. The Finnish Teerenpeli version has much more character. 220505

Draught at the brewpub. Pale golden colour, slightly hazy. There’s a considerable bitterness around, but not much else. A drinkable pilsener, but rather boring.

Draught at the brewpub. Copper coloured. Aroma and flavour of pinewood smoke and black Finnish tar. Interesting. Fairly light bodied.

Draught at the brewpub, Beer of the Month for August 2005. Pale straw coloured. Aroma and flavour reminds me of the dark meat of Norwegian crabs. Very strange, a bit sickly. Not good.

Hazy orange, creamy steady white head. Lemony, malty (mash) aroma. Crisp, softly hopped.Similar to their pilsner but has a bit more bitterness and alcohol in the taste.

A bit hazy orange, small white head. Yeasty, aroma of wheat bread. Dry, reasonably well hoppy and lemony. Carbonated crisp mouthfeel. Good thirst-quincher.

(On tap) Nice amber colour with a fine head. Discreet, slightly flowery nose and a light bitterness. Unfortunately this lacks both body and flavour - I expect a lot more from a Christmas brew. 111201

(On tap) Slightly hazy, orangey golden beer with a fine, small, creamy head. Weak scent of hops - or is it wormwood? Quite malty with a medium body and a not so small residual sweetness. Distinct, acrid finish - definitely wormwood! The wormwood is used as a bittering ingredient while Sterlings are used for aroma. 080805
