A hazy orange beer with a small orange head. The aroma is sweet malty and slightly acidic, and so is the flavor, which also contains notes of wheat.
Earlier Rating: 4/20/2005 Total Score: 2.9
An unclear dark orange beer with a huge white head. The aroma is sweet spicy, combined with notes of banana, peach, and yeast. The flavor is sweet with notes of wheat and coriander - the wheat giving it a slight sourness, leading to a dry end. Not nearly as good as the Apollo version of the same beer - it tastes more like a wit than a kölsch.
Earlier Rating: 3/10/2005 Total Score: 3.3
An unclear orange beer with a huge off-white head. The aroma is malty, flowery, and yeasty. The flavor is very sweet and quite flowery combined with notes of oranges and yeast. The end is dry.

Jet black, brown lacing creamy head. Neutral aroma. Light carbonized roastyness, berries, honeyish notes. Smooth low-carbonated mouthfeel. Pleasant, but not overwhelming

Draught. Aroma is a bit like cheap pilsner. Dark copper colour, nice creamy head. Mild smokey flavour with an OK, semi-long smokey aftertaste. OK beer, but a little weak and boring.

A dark - almost opaque - brown beer with a nice chocolate brown head. The aroma is very sweet with notes of chocolate, grapefruit, and yeast, as well as hints of roasted malt. The flavor contains rather strong notes of yeast, but also lots of roasted malt as well as caramel and hints of chocolate. The end is slightly dry, but not that bitter. The mouthfeel is very smooth.

An unclear dark orange beer with a huge beige head. The aroma is very light of wheat. The flavor is very nutty with light notes of buck wheat and hints of wheat dryness in the end, while the body is thin.
Earlier Rating: 4/17/2005 Total Score: 3.1
An unclear orange beer with a huge off-white head. The aroma is very wheaty with notes of citrus as well as hints of yeast. The flavor is again very wheaty - but a little off to normal wheatyness, it is probably the buckwheat. It also contains notes of oranges as well as yeast. The buckwheat is much more present in the brew done by Sct. Clemens than in the same brew done by Apollo, which makes the Sct. Clemens version more characterful and therefore IMO better.

An unclear amber beer with a nice light brown head. The aroma is sweet spicy with notes of wheat. The flavor is also sweet malty, but also with light notes of buckwheat and fruit. Quite boring.

[Flakhaven] A unclear green-orange beer with a huge off-white head. The aroma is faint, but what is there is yeasty. The flavor is malty and rather yeast combined with notes of straw - leading to a dry sweet end. It seems that the yeast used is not the same as the other brewpubs in the chain - or maybe yeast is just fresh? unfortunately I didn’t have the posibility to talk the the brewer.

[Apollo] An unfilteret brewpub speciality that has a very beutiful head and some hoppy taste.

Draught at the brewpub. Clear nut brown, small beige head. Light beechwood smokey aroma. Light-medium bodied with very hard and clean mouthfeel. Buttery finish. The smoke flavour is there, but it’s not accompanied by any malt depth.

Golden color. Nice malty aroma, some hop. Clear honey taste, not too sweet anyway, but not enough complex, nor interesting; not really hop-aromatic.
