Bottled. A chestnut-brown beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and nuts. The flavor is sweet with notes of brown sugar, bread, malt, and nuts, as well as lighter notes of alcohol, leading to a dry nutty finish. Nice one.

Bottle. Clear pale gold, little head. Pleasant, unusual aroma - citrus, flowers - but artificial and more like a fruit soda than a beer. Light body and medium carbonation. Nasty flavour. The foretaste is alcopop - fizzy fruity soda - witha flat midtaste and then an unplesant bitter finish. I was unsure as to whether this finish was so bad because it was so ill-matched to the foretaste or whether it was just bad in its own right. I think it is the latter - intrinsically nasty - it’s not a hoppy bitterness but something like burnt ginseng. Overall - horrible - I understand why the label says "drink ice cold with a wedge of orange" - to ensure you don’t actually taste it.

Bottle. Clear pale golden, thin white head. Subtle but pleasant aroma - sweet and fruity. Light body and carbonation. Flavour is bland: light sweet start with slightly tart finish with the barest hint of hops. Overall, boring, bland but drinkable.

Bottle. Clear golden, no head. Complicated aroma with candy, fruit, perfume and grass. Medium body, light carbonation. Rather bland flavour - pleasant tangy malty start with some hops but little bitterness in the finish. Overall it’s definitely drinkable but not terribly interesting.

Bottle. Gold, white head, high bead. Aroma has moderate amount of malt and rather muddled-smelling hops. Taste is firm malt and just a little bitterness. I’ve had Pils where the bitterness isn’t that high, but there’s just not enough here to make this anything more than an OK Kiwi lager.

26th September 2008. Sampled at ’Beer Exposed’. Very smooth, no acrid tastes. Refreshing after the above room temperature bitters I had been drinking!
