Description
Four lifelong Oregonians got together on February 13, 2009 and decided that their knowledge of locale and understanding of craft beer could be an excellent starting point for a business. Later that year Hop Valley Brewing had its debut in Springfield, Oregon, but grew too large for its 15-barrel capacity and opened a new 60-barrel brewhouse and taproom in Eugene in 2013. In July 2016 MillerCoors acquired a majority stake of Hop Valley through its Tenth and Blake craft beer and import division. Hop Valley Brewing Company will operate as a separate business unit of Tenth and Blake.

Can pours out hazy orange topped with a white head. Nose is citrus forward some grapefruit and a little sweetness. Taste is more of the nice citrus combo forward and a light sweetness on the end.

Hazy bright yellow gold with a huge fluffy orange white head that lingered and left good lacing. Bitter and sweetish with leafy, floral and fruity hops. Long finish. Medium body.

Sort of a dullish tan colour and a bit hazy. On both the nose and palate it’s got a nice bit of toastiness. Not a lot of bitterness and that allows some malt sweetness to come through. There’s nothing wrong with this but it’s got nothing going for it that interests me.

A golden ipa with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, nice caramel malt with resinous C hops, light mineral notes, pleasant. In mouth, caramel malt with light resinous hops, light butterscotch, OK. On tap at The Thirsty Goose.

Golden colour with an amber hue. Big frothy, creamy warm cap with good retention and full thick foam lacing. Decent grassy hop aromas over a caramel malt base. The taste is fairly sweet with the malt, but the hops do help in the finish. Lightly dry in the end. Says brewed by Creemore Springs here in Canada (Molson). The hops lingering do save a little this brew, as the rest is so-and-so.
