De initiatiefnemers achter deze brouwerij zijn Daniëlle Duits uit Tienhoven en Marco Lauret uit Vleuten. Brouwerij Duits & Lauret is opgericht in 2009 en sinds 2015 gevestigd in Fort Everdingen in de buurt van Utrecht. Fort Everdingen is de imposante, stoere thuishaven van brouwerij Duits & Lauret. De brouwers serveren hier hun bier aan bezoekers en bieden daarnaast een kleine menukaart aan. In hetzelfde jaar werd de naam van de brouwerij gewijzigd van Speciaalbierbrouwerij Duits & Lauret in Fortbrouwerij Duits & Lauret.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Mitra. Red brown with an off-white head. Malty smoky aroma. Taste is bitter, not too sweet, and smoky with roasted malts and hints of roasted nuts and coffee. Aftertaste leaves something to be desired because it’s rather short. Other than that it’s a real tasty doppelbock

On tap at Cafe Derat Utrecht, Netherlands, Saturday 29th September 2012 Very smokey the barlady suggests campfire, I know what she means. Tangy, fruity, smokey and with a cool underlying bitterness. The colour is mid brown with a good clarity, the head is light beige. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.5

Bottle 750ml. corked.Clear medium to dark amber orange colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate hoppy, moderate yeasty, riped fruit, sugar. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and ligt moderate bitter with a long duration, fruity, yeasty, sweet yeast. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120914]

Bottle, 7.5% @ FOneFan. Clear amber with big white head. Aroma is malt, spices, yeast and caramel. Flavour is malt, caramel, yeast, little dusty, fruit, spices, medium sweet, hop and a little bitter.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Clear orange with a lasting off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, fruity and light spicy. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 140912

Bottle @ Really Late Summer Tasting Ulfborg, 2012. Pours clear golden with a frothy white head. Spicy yeast and doughy malts. A bit of vanilla. Full bodied. Quite tasty.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Huge creamy head with excellent duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are yeast, fruits, almond, vanilla, malt, caramel and hops.

Clear very dark brown to black beer, creamy beige head, unstable, pretty adhesive. Aroma: lots of chocolate, mocha, somewhat metallic, sweet caramelly touch. MF: lively carbon, medium body. Taste: some caramel, mocha, bit metallic, lots of dark chocolate, some coffee. Aftertaste: chocolate, bit metallic, mocha, pretty dry hoppy ending.

Clear orange beer, small creamy white head, pretty stable, bit adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: bit of citrus, yeasty, sweet ripe summer fruits, little grassy. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: fruity start, peaches, pineapple, pretty bitter, grassy, bit yeasty. Aftertaste: grassy bitterness, little sweet, fruity.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Traverse, Utrecht. Dark brown with a big tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee and chocolate. Tastes and feels almost like an ice-coffee but creamier and smoother. Great smooth aftertaste. Not only for an winterevening!
