Bottle. Rich amber beer with a tan head. Slight citrus aroma with caramel. Citrus (orange, grapefruit, lemon - yeah I just couldn’t pick just one) flavor with caramel and some backing grass and earth. Medium body. Lingering citrus and grass. Please, no more grass - just a bit too much. Gets tiring as you drink more.

An interesting and surprising beer. The aroma has a barnyard character as well as yeast. Cloudy, gold color. Flavor is a little bit sour but there is also sweetness from sugar. The barnyard combined with sour flavor almost makes this like a saison.

10% ABV 50cL bottle @ $5.99 at Luekens. Seems a bit expensive. Light copper color with nice tan head. Sweet malty smell peppered with floral like noble hops, sweet refined sugar and alcohol. The first couple of tastes were a bit harsh until my taste buds had a chance to adjust. This beer has a moderately syrupy mouth feel. The alcohol flavor hits up front but doesn’t impede the flavor all that much. Then some light pale, caramel and sugary malt sweetness kicks in as does the pine and floral hoppy bitterness. This beer definetly gets better the more you drink. Tastes like a big brother to Samuel Smiths IPA.

Pours bright amber into a shaker. White head with good retention. Sour milk and spoiled garbage aromas. Lightly carbonated and sour with a lasting sour alcohol finish. Not gueuze sour...milk sour.

Pours chestnut brown into a shaker. Off-white head quickly recedes to skim rim. Toasted caramel aromas. Thin and flat with caramel and a lasting slightly bitter finish.

Bottle at SBWF 06. Weak citric aroma, not bad. Cloudy orange colour. Nice citrus fruit flavour. Easily drinkable. Probably good for summer.

Bottle: Darker gold pour with a smaller white head and very little lacing. Aroma was mostly malt with some floral bitters. Taste is clean, but not very itense. Some malt sweetness with a floral hops tail. Very basic, very mediocre, and not exciting at all.

Tap at Waterfront Ale House, Brooklyn - very clear, light red/copper with a tiny, frothy head - the alcohol slaps you in the face with the first sniff, smelling almost like rubbing alcohol with sugar and caramel mixed into it - the alcohol presence gets a little more subdued after the initial whiff, but always remains quite present underneath the faint, bready aroma - the flavor is much the same - really astringent at first, with some fruity esters along with it that don’t quite seem like they are intended to be there - cloying caramel sweetness - more alcohol near the finish - this beer is really a mess - criminally bad, indeed.

16.9 oz bottle. Poured golden color with 0.25” off white head. The aroma was sort of sweet with malts contrasted against grapefruit hops. The malt and hop combination created an orange flavored cotton candy type smell. The taste is pretty nice with full grapefruit hop flavor and bitterness. The hops start off sweet along with the malts and build toward a more bitter taste by midway. The malts add a needed sugary sweetness at the finish to help balance out the hop bitterness a bit.
