Description
Ridgeway Brewing was established in 2002 by master brewer Peter Scholey (former head brewer at Brakspear) and his wife Vanda. The name comes from the ancient trade route that winds its way through English countryside between small towns. It has been around for thousands of years, adapting with the changing times, The reason why we chose the name Ridgeway, apart from living on it, was that we hope to create lasting experiences, believe in the long term and love the outdoors.

Bottle shared in London - picked up from HOTM. Pours clear honey-gold with a bubbly, pure white head. Light-medium sweet flavour with notes of toasted biscuits, honey, light pale grains, nips of caramel. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes with more sun-kissed pale malts, some sweet grains, straw. Not bad.

500ml bottle from Alko. Pretty certain I have had this couple of times before, but no rating, so here goes. Poured mahogany color. Dark malty with chocolate, spiciness, toast and burnt caramel. Dry finish. Much better than I remembered really.

A dark yellow beer, a head is almost medium bodied and blond. Aroma has maltyness with biscuits and dryness, some flowers. Aroma has biscuit, wood, also herbal bitterness, light note of caramel in the background. Medium bodied. Feels surpiringly dry all the time. Quite nice, different than usually and this time it's a complement.
