Description
Ridgeway Brewing was established in 2002 by master brewer Peter Scholey (former head brewer at Brakspear) and his wife Vanda. The name comes from the ancient trade route that winds its way through English countryside between small towns. It has been around for thousands of years, adapting with the changing times, The reason why we chose the name Ridgeway, apart from living on it, was that we hope to create lasting experiences, believe in the long term and love the outdoors.

Bought by Crafty Brewing in February 2025.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Appearance - dark brown to black with red chinks. Off white attractive head. Nose - pine and grapefruit pith. Fruit loaf follows that in. Taste - more fruit loaf, a touch of candied lemon and orange and some citrus zest too. Palate - rich and medium bodied. Crunchy in texture. Dry crunchy finish. Overall - enjoyed this. I appear to have been drinking a different beer from most previous reviewers. Accurate to the style it is not. It's somewhere between Mild and ESB.

Bardzo fajne, udana Angielska IPA. zywiczne chmielne, a zarazem delikatne, nieco przyprawowe. Jasno zlote z drobinkami nieaktywnych drozdzy. Piana srednia ale lepi sie do szkla jak mucha do lepa Brosa. Goryczkowe, wytrawne i pozostawia przyprawowa goryczke na podniebieniu. Udane.
