Cask at North Birmingham Beer Festival; black pour with a medium beige head, roasted malt aroma, dried fruit in the taste and roast coffee a hint of dark chocolate and some dried fruity action in here.

Cask at the Birmingham Beer Festival 2012 for which this beer was brewed. A dark pour with a broken tan head. The aroma was pure liqourice and spice leading to a gorgeous, rich, spicy liqourice flavour with a hint of chocolate. This is by far the best beer I have tasted from Two Towers and I hope it becomes a regular feature.

Cask at the Birmingham beer festival 2012. This really is quite a different beer! Golden brown pour with a bubbly frothy head. Nice fruity aroma with notes of spicy hops. Smooth fruity citrus flavour with a hint of sourness on the palate. A most agreeable ale and more than fine for a session!

Bottle direct from the brewery. Poured a relatively clear light brown with a white, short-lived head. There is a citrus aroma with a hint of spicy bitterness, more reminiscent of a dry hopped IPA. The hops combine well to produce a nice, flavourful refreshing bitterness. I’m not sure what hops were used but the floral taste dominates this ale and lingers around on the palate for a short while too. This is a quality session ale that’s different enough from most other English bitters to make it attractive.

Bottle direct from the brewery. A very clear, light golden brown pour with a thin white head. The aroma certainly isn’t strong, but there are floral and citrus notes hiding away in there. A clean refreshing medium bitterness in the taste where the slightly floral side of the ale comes through on the palate. A nice session ale for sure, but needs to be a bit more innovative to win prizes.

Bottle direct from the brewery. Golden clear amber pour with a thin white head and a little lacing. Not a heavy aroma but there is definitely some fruity maltiness in there. A citrus flavour with an appealing bitterness which will be liked by most people I'm sure. Won't win too many gold medals, but it's certainly a very tasty refreshing session ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from the brewery. Poured a dark mahogany with a frothy tan head. Lots of coffee and malt in the aroma, Liquorice and coffee notes in the flavour. The beer seems a little carbonated and is quite bitter for a porter, but that's quite agreeable and delivers a very refreshing ale. Some bitterness on the palate, but not longed lived. Cask (gravity) @ The 17th Reading Beer and Cider Festival 2011, Reading, Berkshire England.Clear medium yellow orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, straw, toasted, malty. Flavor is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat.
