Description
Fine English traditionally-brewed cask ales in the heart of Birmingham.

Using traditional methods, we brew a range of ales representing the true spirit of a great city. With a batch size of 10 British barrels (360 gallons) the brewery is at the rear of our dedicated outlet, the Gunmakers Arms, in the historic Gunmakers’ quarter and supplies pubs, clubs and restaurants across Birmingham and the West Midlands.

Two Towers Brewery is a community organisation that is integrated into the fabric of its historic surroundings with the aim of enriching the experience of all those around us.

Actually I didn't mind this one. Pours a dark reddish brown. Roast and ash notes amongst a dark fruity tang. Light but not watery like a good traditional mild. Better than most from this brewery.

Cask @ Gunmaker's Arms, Birmingham. Misty gold appearance, patchy white head. Fruity sweet aroma, continuing to taste alongside some floral, herbal grapefruit citrus.. but does come across like it's been in the lines a while unfortunately. Shame.

Cask @ Gunmaker's Arms with Jeremy. Pours very dark, beige head. Dried dark fruit aroma, dark fruity shades form much of the flavour profile, but does taste like it's been left in the line a while, dusty.. shame.

Cask half @ Gunmaker's Arms, shared with haddock with the pub cat keeping us company on the radiator close by. Misty gold appearance, white head. Ok pale overall, dull fruity citrus notes, hint of dust.. perhaps not as it's freshest.

Cask @ Gunmaker's Arms, Birmingham with blackhaddock. Pours dark, patchy off-white head. Aroma of old water, dried dark fruit. Flavour profile presents soft roast, old water, cardboard.. generally feels like this is perhaps not in the best condition.

Hand-pulled half-pint on 25th January 2024, shared with Mat. Black bodied, tanned head. Malty, nutty, old and slightly musty. Considering we were in the brewpub Two Towers were not having a good day, this wasn't the first 'iffy' beer we were served.
