Can from Old Street Brewery, Bethnal Green on 28th March 2021. Rated as a novelty ale. Pours a dull reddish pink with limited, non-lacing foam. Caramel malts and tart blackberries in aroma, with lemon citrus. Juicy berry fruits and lime citrus in-mouth, and a finish of fading fruits and rich nuttiness. Zingy mouthfeel and a light body. Actually a very pleasant drink, something different and interesting as we approach Lockdown’s end.

330ml bottle on 8th March 2021 from Old Street Brewery Bottle Shop. Pours deep sepia with brown foam soon reducing to a peripheral ring. Sweet candied fruits and spices in aroma. Hints of cherry, marshmallow, cinnamon. Blend of spicy roastiness in-mouth with bitter chocolate, savoury notes and smoky spiciness. A long finish of nutty roast malts, whiskies and agreeable spiciness. Full bodied with a velvet smooth mouthfeel. Sublime.

Can at home in Hackney - sourced from All Good Beer HD. Pours mostly clear yellow-gold with a frothy, pure white head. Nice clean beer, some pale bread, semi-ripe citrus, subtle dankness, a little rindy bitterness, nips of pine, melon. Light bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with faint minerality, some diesel, more citrus rind, a little grass. Not bad overall.

Can thanks to Grumbo: Poured a caramel orange with a carbonated tan head, it dissipated from the inside in a way I have never seen. Very interesting to watch. Aroma is huge pumpkin and spice, some undertone of malt. Taste is veggie, pumpkin, spices, burnt roasted malts.

30/5/2020. Can from the brewery. Pours hazy/cloudy pale gold with a frothy just off-white head. Aroma of citrus, grapefruit and light pine, plus a touch of cabbage and a wiff of manure. Moderate to medium sweetness and moderate bitterness. Slightly oily texture. Looked decent and tasted fine, just an off edge to the aroma.
