Can. Misted pale gold with a cm+ of white head. Aroma of under-ripe tropical fruit, gooseberries, grass. So it tastes. Increasingly zesty towards the fairly bitter end. Little to no malt presence but the palate doesn't collapse and it's pretty refreshing.

(Can) Pours clear deep brown with modest loose off-white head. Good aroma - toffee, notes of toast. Medium body with bright carbonation. Great taste. There’s a backbone of dark toffee throughout the palate and then there’s quite a dramatic transformation to a great bitter finish. There are some herbal notes and dark berry hints at the start. Very good.

(Can) Pours slightly hazy amber brown with good off-white head. Lovely aroma dominated by wood smoke with notes of toffee. Smooth medium body with fine carbonation. Good taste with the wood smoke at the fore throughout. There’s some citrus at the start, replaced with toffee sweetness that persists into the finish. There’s a flavour in the background throughout the palate that gets stronger in the finish which is a little harsh. I think it is carbolic; it reminds me of medicinal soap. Maybe it goes with the smoke. Very good.

(Can) Pours deep brown with huge tan head. Lovely aroma. Spicy dried fruits, citrus, pepper, cardamom. Medium body with plenty of carbonation. Great taste with some complexity. There’s a backbone of caramel / toffee which provides some sweetness. There’s plenty of fruitiness up front and through much of the palate. There’s dried fruit but also something dark berry like tangy. The spicy notes steadily grow through the first half of the palate. The finish is simpler with some roast malt and gentle bitter flavours. Very good.

(Can) Lovely looking beer - clear golden with big dense white head. Pleasant aroma of dried fruit and peppery spice. Good mouthfeel, medium bodied with a slight stickiness, and great carbonation that is both bright and mouth filling. Great taste. There’s a toffee sweetness through most of the palate that slowly gives way to a peppery bitterness, with both in balance in a long finish. There’s orange and dried fruit at the start. Cinnamon notes. Some alcohol heat in the finish. Very good.

(Can) Pours hazy reddish amber with hint of white head. Distinct aroma with sour, vinegar, funky notes and papaya. Light body with modest bright carbonation. Taste is classic sour with a little added fruitiness. There’s a lactic and acetic acidity, but not overpowering. There’s wood, oak, I think. And there’s papaya. It all works well together.

Can. Gold, a doming 2cm white head. Floral and peppery aroma with crackers. Clean, dryish - not a lot to the malt really - with a punchy peppery bitter finish. Edging up on too austere for me, but good. 101st Slow Lane beer for me - lots of hits, few misses.
