Description
On St. Patrick’s Day 2007, Double Mountain Brewery & Taproom was unveiled to a thirsty public. Double Mountain was founded by Matt Swihart and Charlie Devereaux with a clear mission: make great beer for craft beer fans! Ours is a “brewers’ brewery”, with an uncompromising focus on beer quality. From the beginning, our goal was to make beers that we liked to drink. All of our beers are served up unfiltered and long-aged, to deliver maximum flavor and character. The beers can be very complex and assertive, but with the ultimate goal of proper balance. We aim to satisfy both the hardcore aficionados and the more casual craft beer fan, all in the same glass.

500 ml bottle. Pours a mostly clear golden hue with a large white head. A funky lemon nose, almost some brett. Very unusual, soft, perfume, light citrus, really funky. Solid.

As far as I can tell, this is an oak aged version of No Collusion. Different description and label. Pours a dark brown hue with a medium light brown head. A big roast and oak nose. Light cocoa, cinnamon, oak, almost vinous, light metallic char is on the edges. Pretty good. Smooth.

500 ml bottle. Bottled five and a half weeks ago. Aroma is pineapple, light dishrag, lemon, biscuity, wort. Pours a hazy, turbid golden with a long lasting thick soapy off-white head. Taste has a moderate pithy bitterness with flavors like the aroma. I think it would be better fresher.

Pint bottle from Boise Co-op. Medium golden with small creamy head. Malty aroma with a hint of dank hops. Gets a bit more hoppy in the taste, although some nice caramel comes through. Pretty classic, old school IPA.
