Description
Epic ales to celebrate legendary Dwarfen deeds! The Fownes Brewing Company was started in 2012 to bring a fresh breed of outstanding ales and porters to the good folk of the Black Country. In the seven years since we rolled the first cask out of the brewery doors we've gone from strength to strength, picking up awards and recognition on a regional and national scale. In the autumn of 2019 we took the bold stride to relocate the brewery deeper into the heart of the Black Country, so that we could forge our next chapter and expand our ability to bring our unique, epic ales to a wider audience than ever before.

Cask @ GBBF Winter, Birmingham. Black with a light brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt and chocolate. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet and moderate bitter finish. Oily. 080220

Cask at Cherry Reds, Birmingham. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a thin broken off white head. The aroma is roasty malt, liqourice, coffee, charcoal, red berry fruits. The flavour is moderate sweet and liqourice bitter, with a smooth, dry, roasty, fruity, light vanilla, floral hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask at the Seven Stars, Stourbridge. Pours gold with a medium head. Aroma is straw and sherbet. Taste has straw and sherbet lemon. Simple.
