Handpull cask at the Salmon, Leicester. Mahogany, translucent with a small creamy beige head. Smells of slightly fruity dark bread. Sweet taste with the pull of astringent hops nearer the finish giving distraction rather than balance. This is a malty fucker, but the finish is quite bitter. Decent although a bit messy and reasonably one-dimensional.

Cask at GBBF. RIch if hazy aroma. Gold. Bubbly white head. Vaguest malty I guess it's bitterness. Thin. Slick. Soft carb. Abrupt. Like drinking soft water. Probably good in a hot climate.

Cask handpull at GBBF 2018. Clear pale gold thanks to Stephen . I get a bit of ginger on aroma and in the flavour. Cracking condition. Soft carbonation is outstanding. Good subtle ginger. But it's there.

Cask at the Queens Head, Stourbridge. Pours very dark brown with a medium head. Aroma is malty, bready coffee. Taste has a bready coffee start, coffee finish and a liquorice aftertaste.

Cask at the Wellington, Birmingham. Poured a crystal clear yellow straw colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, yeast, light dry hop. The flavour is light bitter with a light, watery, malt, dry woody hop bitter palate. Light bodied with soft carbonation. Way too light and watery. Lacks any defining flavours.

Cask at the Great British Winter Beer Festival 2018, Norwich. Pours dark mahogany brown with a small bubbly beige head. Aroma has a large amount of chocolate, accompanied by malt, dark fruits and moderate roasted coffee. Medium plus sweetness, light roasted bitterness. Medium plus body, slick texture, very soft carbonation. Very good, my beer of the festival.

T42 Christmas Bottleshare. Thanks to Wingman. Light haze on this gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, low carbonation. Smooth malts, some caramel. Ripe citrus and ripe citrus peel. Mild pine. Semi dry finish. A bit stodgy with its low carbonation.

Bottle shared on Level 42, Christmas tasting 18/12/2017. Many thanks! A dull golden coloured pour with a loose white head. Aroma is bretty funk, pine, light pineppale. airy grains. Flavour is airy grains, bretty, grape, dirty wheat, wheat, grain, orange rind. Palate si semi sweet, resin, moderate carboantion. Lingering dirty grains.
