0.33 l bottle from local 'Trink & Spare', best before November 2025. Opaque, almost black with a medium large, slightly fluffy, quickly collapsing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, minimally roasty aroma of grains, bread crust, light coffee and caramel. Very sweet, malty, a little umami taste of caramel, grains, toasted nuts, bread crust and hints of raisins, followed by a short, hardly bitter, minimally roasty finish. Thin to medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Interesting Malzbier, a little roastier and less sugary than others maybe.

Swing top bottle 33 cl. Pours a hazy amber with a lacing, off-white head. Malty nose with a hint of toffee. Medium body, again slightly toffeeish malts and a slightly bitter finish. An unusual choice for a new beer from Flensburger. 171224 6/4/7/3/13=3,3

Roasted malt, some banana peel, citrus, rye. Malty sweetness. Light bodied, oily watery texture, soft carbonated, mild dry roasty malty finish. More an Amber Lager than Dunkel, but decent, and again a light Dunkel that lacks in body.

Bottle from House of Trembling Madness. Clear amber with moderate sized off white top. Malty aroma with some dried nuts, spice, toffee. Nicely balanced with a semi-sweet middle and long bitterness. It has a decent malt character at first, quite toffee like with cereals, dried fruit, grass. Repeated sips leads to a slightly filtered character as the palate gets used to it but that toffee/malt note is moreish. Enjoyable.

Bottle from House of Trembling Madness. Clear gold with big white foamy head which settles to a nice layer. Malty aroma, some bread dough, hay, grass and sweetcorn. Taste is a little more interesting with sweet malts, dough, honey, hint of caramel, grassy and floral bitter finish with a touch of booze in the finish. Medium bodied, slick. OK.

330ml bottle. Clear gold, small white head, thin retention. Malty, floral, and a touch of spice on the nose but fairly standard. Taste is malty, light berry hop, grains, honey. Medium smooth body, low carbonation. Not bad but a touch dull, I think more cost has gone into the bottle cap design than the beer.
