Description

Želimo svim pivoljupcima objasniti magiju nastajanja piva, važnost kvalitete sastojaka i približiti bezbrojne kombinacije okusa i aroma.

Can, 0.33l. Black pour, one finger creamy brown head, long lasting, sticky lacing on the glass. Rich on the nose, cocoa, caramel, figs, raisins. Bready and woody notes, mild smoke.

Full body, soft carbonation. Smooth mouthfeel and texture, thick, creamy, chewy. Sticky. Nicely balanced roasty bittersweet taste. Aroma of roasted malt, toasted caramel, cocoa powder. Wood notes, molasses, vanilla, licorice. Figs and raisins. Warming alcohol in the background. Ashy, mild smoke. Long lasting finish, roasty, dry, boozy.

Quite tasty.

Can courtesy of Marko, cheers mate 👍🏼. Had this Thursday 3rd April 2025 back in Frank after popping out into Freising for a couple of beers and Fish and Chips. Pours black with a mid sized beige head. Some orange notes on the nose and a touch of vanilla also. Taste following a similar pattern but comes across as very artificial. Drinks easy for the abv, however this isn't really my thing and I cannot finish the can.

Can courtesy of Marko big thanks Marko. Had this Wednesday 26th March 2025, cooking Homemade Spicy Potato Wedges and Breaded Chicken Fillets. Pours mid amber with a fast disappearing white head, it was quite big but now just a film. Malty and a little fruity, a touch chewy but in a good way, nice mouthfeel, soft, this is a good Bock, some sweetness a touch of caramel and toffee. Good.

0.33l can at Pivska Školica 2025. Lovely dark brown body, thick brown head going away medium-fast. Caramelly aroma, vanilla, raisins, bit buttery, sweetish, lightly tart, oily, chocolatey. Hooh, the oak is here in force, but maybe a bit aggro / non-refined. Lean, sweetish taste, lighter body, chocolate and vanilla notes show up, still a bit buttery. Bitterish, dry, tannic finish, somewhat boozy, sweet. Not terribly enjoyable, but actually as was consensus, could actually improve a lot with aging. Need to get a few cans just for that.

Tap at Ambasada. Clear golden body, off-white head. Citric and somewhat peachy, though largely herbal hoppy aroma. Lean, dry taste, some herbal and coconut/woody notes, ending a bit herbal, bitterish. As light as expected to be fair, dry, but okay, chuggable overall.

Tap at the new Valhalla. Lightly hazy golden body, off-white head. Enormous old school hoppy aroma, actually remarkably so considering the hop combo - the Simcoe was having a blast there, and somehow, somehow, HBC1019 and Krush helped, without going too modern hop-wise. So many words, so few descriptors - distinct dank, pine and citrus fruits. The taste is lean, soft, but not too soft, drier than the norm for the style. Citrus fruits dominates here, in front of the dank, pine, herbal notes, with the very few tropical touches staying in the background. Ends bitterish to bitter, in the pretty lasting finish. Nice one! Would've probably stuck to it if there weren't other beers to try!

Can at home, kind courtesy of Marko. Pours an opaque orangeish golden with a thin, white head. Nose is lactic notes, citrus zest and passion fruit. Taste is med to heavily sour, delivering a big passion fruit with citric and lactic touches. Closes with a somewhat dry, citric finish, has a light body and average carhonation. Straightforward and tasty beer, if a bit one dimensional.
