Description
We’re a free spirited bunch at Wylde Sky. We like adventure and are always up for something new – hell, that’s how Wylde Sky was born. So we aim to bring you something new to taste, something different that you may not have experienced before.

Our focus is on brewing true classics and uniquely crafted beers. Brewed and numbered in small batches. We invite you to join the journey of our beers through different numbered versions of the styles we’re brewing. Our beers evoke the freedom and excitement that comes from embracing the journey and not being constrained by the same old.

Our beers are evocative of classic styles and we plan to offer some unique brews. You’re invited to come on the journey as our styles explore different versions. These are not differences for difference sake, but for the sake of making our beer delicious and utilising the absolute best raw materials we can get a hold of at the time of brewing. We brew in small batches and we want to offer different takes within a given style without constriction. Why have one recipe of any style when you can have literally dozens! It might be a slightly different hop, yeast, grain, water profile or technique. You’ll know which version you are drinking from the Version mark (V.1 | V.2 | V.3…). Life is always moving and changing – and in our view, beer is no different. The two things that we never compromise on are quality and taste.

Can. Just a light haze on this gold beer, decent size pale cream colour head. Light palate, mildly dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Light malts, slightly thin bodied, a very light creamy sweetness. A pleasant if light hop profile. Cooling pine, a pinch of hop spice. Tropical fruits and citrus, slightly tangy. This brew has a tidy flavour profile, just a bit thin bodied and could do with a little more welly overall.

Can from Bury Lane Farm Shop. Aroma has a sour streak- citrus, gooseberry, a tad vinous. Malty. Doughy sweetness. Earthy hints. Slightly hazy copper gold. Thin foamy translucent white head. Flavourwise this mirrors the aroma. Sour with a dry bitterness. Although there is far less sweetness. It's there but keeps It's head down, only gaining any bravery into the finish. Light. Thin. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long very dry finish. Somewhat astringent. Enjoyable. Dry but refreshing.

Can from Bury Lane Farm Shop. Slightly opaque gols. Thick frothy foamy white head. Aroma is light but doughy. Underlying sweetness. Peripheral metallic streak. Citrusy with an underlying sugary sweetness. A bitterness comes through- dry hops, herbal, slightly metallic. Doughy malts more evident into the finish. Light. Thin. Soft carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Slips down in a simply but unmemorable way. But no problem whilst frying chorizo.

Cask at Crewe Dog, Crewe. Pours a hazy golden brown with minimal scummy off-white head and good lacing. There’s malts and caramel in the aroma plus some hints of dried fruit. In the mouth it is quite sweet to start with a slightly creamy texture and malts to the fore. A little underlying bitterness too which does increase but never dominates. Later on marmalade and hints of nuts and berry fruits come through leading to gentle fruity finish. This is reasonable if a little nondescript.
