Description
We’re a free spirited bunch at Wylde Sky. We like adventure and are always up for something new – hell, that’s how Wylde Sky was born. So we aim to bring you something new to taste, something different that you may not have experienced before.
Our focus is on brewing true classics and uniquely crafted beers. Brewed and numbered in small batches. We invite you to join the journey of our beers through different numbered versions of the styles we’re brewing. Our beers evoke the freedom and excitement that comes from embracing the journey and not being constrained by the same old.
Our beers are evocative of classic styles and we plan to offer some unique brews. You’re invited to come on the journey as our styles explore different versions. These are not differences for difference sake, but for the sake of making our beer delicious and utilising the absolute best raw materials we can get a hold of at the time of brewing. We brew in small batches and we want to offer different takes within a given style without constriction. Why have one recipe of any style when you can have literally dozens! It might be a slightly different hop, yeast, grain, water profile or technique. You’ll know which version you are drinking from the Version mark (V.1 | V.2 | V.3…). Life is always moving and changing – and in our view, beer is no different. The two things that we never compromise on are quality and taste.

Can. V1 why? Because untappd says so? Gah! Near clear gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Light palate, mildly dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. The pale malts have a thinnish mouthfeel but provide a decent sweetness. Quite the floral mid. Floral fruits on the back end, a broad spectrum fruitiness, hard to pick apart and very floral, borderline perfumey. Light crisp finish. Has some flavour this brew but I found it just a bit too floral.

Can that my lovely wife bought me from Bury Lane Farm Shop, Royston - thank you wifey! Hazy yellow with a white head. Really lovely fresh vibrant hops in this - grapefruit, lemon and some hints of herbs and tropical fruit. Good body too to balance the hops against. Sweet and moderately bitter and lightly drying. So refreshing and more-ish. Excellent!

Can from Bury Lane Farm Shop, Royston. Hazy gold with a white head that doesn't last. Belgian banana yeast up front, light spice, bread, a hint of lemon and quite a bit of mineral. The mineral was a bit too dominant for my liking.

Can. No idea if I have the right version, no version number on the can, honestly..this beer has multiple versions, watf? Anyway, a clear gold beer with a small pale cream colour head. Smooth light palate, mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Airy pale malts, a thin but pleasing creamy sweetness. Soft pine hops. Nice tropical fruits, light but juicy, equally light candy fruits. A tiny pinch of hop spice on the light and semi dry finish. Nice enough brew, goes down easy.

Can shared at Christmas thanks to Simon. A hazed golden yellow coloured pour with a fine white head. Aroma is green spicy hop, onion, chive, loose wheat flakes grains. Flavour is composed of chalky, flaked wheat, green onion hop, spicy dank. Bit rough round the edges. Palate is semi sweet, mineral, highish carbonation. Ok.
