Bottle. Hazy chestnut-ruby color with white head. Aroma is fruity af, kompot, strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries. Taste is the same, gummybears, blueberry pancake, breadiness coming in now, surprisingly balanced, quite some hop bitterness there too, a bit warming, but not medicinal. Medium carbonation. Pretty damn good Eisbock!

Bottle, thanks Fin! Hazy chestnut brown, amber foam. Fresh herbal and grassy nose, blueberry, light funky. Medium body, slightly sticky, caramel, heather herbal, flowery, light licorice root, fennel, oregano, mint. Good balance. The freshest Eisblock so far.

Tap at Hallertauer Bierfestival, Attenkirchen in the company of Jonas and Ursula it's very, very hot, Sunday 26th June 2022 sat in the shade. Pours like Robinsons lemon barley water, super soft moutheel, a really good hoppiness, ok the usual characteristics are there but there is a lot of hoppiness, very lemony.

At the festival. Cloudy creamy lemon yellow. Flavor is smoke and cream. Sadly a lot of cloves in the taste. Luckily only a tad of banana.

Pillmeier Bräu Karinator, Flasche von REWE, Mainburg. - Dunkles Goldgelb, trüb. - In der Nase bocktypisch fettes schweres helles Malz, Honig und etwas gebremste aber sehr solide zitrusfruchtige Hopfenherbe. - Antrunk satt und füllig hellmalzig mit zarter Honignote (Lindenblüten), einem Hauch von Vanille und beträchtlicher aber etwas gedämpfter zitrusfruchtiger Hopfung, leichte Pampelmuse. Milder rezent, vollmundig, solide kaschierter Alkohol. Im Abgang runde zitrusfruchtige Hopfenherbe. - Sehr schöner heller Bock an der Grenze zum Doppelbock (worauf ja auch der Name hindeutet), dicht hellmalzig und solide gehopft. Mit ein klein wenig prägnanterer Hopfung wäre er außerordentlich. (26.4.2022.)

Pillmeier Bräu Dunkles, Flasche von Getränke Maiereder, Abensberg. - Nicht dunkel sondern rotbraun, fast klar. - In der Nase Toastbrot, dezentes Karamel, gute hopfenwürzige Herbe. - Antrunk satt toastmalzig mit feinen Röstaromen, aromatisch hopfenwürziger Herbe, Orangenschale. Wenig süß. Milder rezent, schlank und trocken. Im Abgang trockene nussig-herbale Bittere. - Untypisches aber auf seine Weise überzeugendes Dunkles, nicht so weich dunkelmalzig wie das vorzügliche Dunkle vom Kuchlbauer sondern toastmalzig und trocken herb. On tap at one of the Friday night regular openings (three Fridays a month) Friday 11th February 2022, we are sitting with the locals outside. Pours hazy gold with a large white head, wow the chinook (also dry hopped I understand) hoppiness is much more assertive here, it's still a very fresh and pleasant wheat beer, however the usual wheat beer characteristics are really muted here, this is an altogether different beast (we had 3 of these each)

On tap at one of the Friday night regular openings (three Fridays a month) Friday 11th February 2022, sitting with the locals outside. The brewer came and chatted with us and brought us a bottle of this beer 'gratis', it was 2-3 years old. Pours chestnut brown with an off white head, almost clear. Malt nose but also some dark fruits and nuts, these three also present themselves in the mouth and it's a very easy drinking beer despite the abv, liked this and tasted good with a little age on it.

On tap at the brewery, Langquaid, Friday 11th February 2022. Hazy gold with a white head, nice softness but a hoppiness at the end, light bitterness. Decent Helles, most enjoyable.
