Description
Mr Bees Brewery is based on the beautiful Suffolk Coast. Our beer is produced using only the finest ingredients, sourced locally. All the malted barley comes from Suffolk and we use only the finest quality English hops. We finish all our beers with honey from our own hives as this helps to enhance beer taste and aids conditioning. We produduce casks for trade and bottles for individual customers.

30/11/2018. Cask handpull at the Dove Winter Beer Festival, Ipswich. Pours very dark brown with a small off-white to beige head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, coffee, hops, dark fruit and a hint of liquorice and nut. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Medium body, slight slick texture, soft carbonation. Dry, roasted finish. Quite traditional easy drinking stout. Decent brew.

7/11/2018. Cask at the Angel, Woodbridge. Pours amber with a dark red tint with a bubbly off-white head. Aroma of hops, fruit, biscuit and malt. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, average to soft carbonation. Some bitterness to finish.

1/9/2018. Cask at Briarbank, Ipswich. Pours clear dark gold with a small frothy off-white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, fruit, biscuit and honey. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Moderate body, slight watery texture, very soft carbonation.

Cask at the Dove Street Inn Winter Festival, 2017. Pours black with a small bubbly towards beige head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, hop and dark fruit. Moderate sweetness, quite heavy bitterness. Medium body, slight oily and watery texture, soft carbonation. Honey not really evident. Attractive looking beer, and not bad overall.

Cask at the Dove Street Inn Spring Beer Festival, Ipswich. Pours honey amber colour with a lasting small white head. Aroma of caramel, malt, honey, light floral and fruit notes. Medium sweetness, light bitterness. Medium body, slight sticky texture, soft carbonation. Not usually a honey beer fan but this one is well done.
