Sample at the brewpub. The beer pours a reddish-amber color with a medium thin off-white head that diminishes quickly. Spotty lacing. Caramel malt aroma and a touch of hops. Flavor of sweet malt, caramel and toffee. Lightly bitter hops in the background. The finish is short and sweet with a malt aftertaste. Standard fare overall.

Sample at the brewpub. The beer is a clear pale gold color with a thin and fizzy white head that evaporates quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Light hops and grainy malt aroma. Light body with faintly grassy hops and sweet malt flavors. The finish is mildly bitter with a short mildly spiced hops aftertaste. Slightly below average overall.

tap at Denver ChopHouse - I wrote it down as Kurt’s Dream, but my notes are rough. It has a yeasty, malty aroma with some caramel in there. The flavor has some sweet malt up front but is very hoppy and finishes bitter. I thought it was pretty good, but I wish my notes were better.

tap at Denver ChopHouse - Pours red and smells of caramel malt. I thought the flavor was quite similar to their red ale. It’s mainly just caramel malt and some mild to moderate hops. It’s pleasantly crisp on the palate and quaffable.

tap at Denver ChopHouse - Pours near black and smells mainly of bourbon. The oak bourbon flavor is huget in the flavor too and while tasty if one likes bourbon, it buries everything else. The body is also on the light side for a stout. So overall liking bourbon means you’ll probably like this beer, but others have done more with barrel aging.

tap at Denver ChopHouse - Pours near black and has the expected dark roast malt aroma. The roast malt flavor is joined by some coffee notes and then some hops in the finish. It’s medium to full bodied and overall pretty good.

tap at Denver ChopHouse - Pours up a very red color. The aroma is mild and mainly caramel malt. The flavor is nicely balanced hops and toasted caramel malt. It’s a typical red ale. It could use a little more hops bite.

tap at Denver ChopHouse - Pours cloudy straw colored with a lingering head that laces some. It has a wheaty, yeasty, banana aroma. The flavor is sweet malt and wheat with banana and a hint of spice. It’s light bodied and fairly good overall.
