Sampled from a 25 oz brown bottle this beer poured a black color with an enormous foamy dark brown head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was cola, dark fruit, cocoa, marzipan, vanilla and cookie dough. The flavor was toasty and woody with cookie dough, vanilla cream and a hint of smoke. Long finish. Moderately full bodied and smooth.

This was poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a soft semi-transparent glossy burnt orange color. Carbonation could be seen rising at a nice pace. No head nor lacing.
The aroma took the sharp sweet wheat to peg down sweet apricot fruitiness. Sticky authenticity.
The flavor played both parts of the apricot to the wheat nicely. Stayed sweet the whole time. Sly punch of the wheat hits the aftertaste and then gives appropriate wheat bite. Quick finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a crisp sweet touch on the tongue. Fantastic sessionability with a nice low carbonation.
Overall, good thing I got this in this month before the weather changes on me. Cause, it’s damn crushable and good for what it is!

12 oz bottle from Buy Rite. Dark brown pour with a thin, light brown head and some drippy, spotty lacing. Spice, rye, and malt. Some dry roast coffee. Bit of smoke as well. Solid flavor and mouthfeel. Average to lively carbonation, finishes with a bit a spicy tingle. Fairly long close.

Bottle. Super hazy golden yellow, low head to lace. Big citrus nose, zesty, but not too obvious, Citra come out more. Light honey malts. Light and hoppy, nice citrus. Creamy malts. I like this one. Not overdone with the fruit, like so many are. It blends in very well. Quite bitter finish.

Pours hazy gold into a shaker. Bright white head with medium retention recedes leaving spider lacing. Orange peel and lemon aromas. Soft with sweet caramel and peel and pith upfront turning to bitter pith in the lasting finish.

Bottle. It pours black with a small light brown head. The aroma is chocolaty and roasted. A little smoky. The flavor is the same. It has some dense breadiness with some spicy hop bitterness. Chocolaty with hints of smoke and roasted malt. Good full oily body, no doubt because of the rye. I’m a sucker for rye porters. Love the body it gives them.

New Beer Distributors, NYC bottle ($2.50): pours black with a beige head. Aroma is coffee and hints of milk chocolate, along with some molasses or stuff like that. Taste is kind of sweet and full of coffee. OK coffee stout.

Bot. Looks almost like witbeer. Taste is very strong hop flavors up front, quite bitter and it lasts a long time, whewie. Difficult for a lager lover. has a tad of that veggie feeling in there. Good co2 for an IPA. Yes, a bitter bit of beer fer sure. You’d never know it was less than 5%. Its flavor is over the top and down the sides.

Sampled on draft at Gateway Grill this beer poured a murky yellow-gold color with a medium sized creamy white head that left great lacing. The aroma was tart, citric and perfumey. The flavor was tart and bitter with notes of perfume and cactus. Very long finish. Moderately full bodied. Solid.
