Wynkoop Parade of Darks 2011. Black appearance with a small brown head. Fairly roasty, dark chocolate malty, woody (not sure if it was even barrel aged), light vanilla aroma. The flavor is pretty sure due to its higher alcohol content but it is fairly smooth with flavors of dark chocolate, deep roastiness, vanilla, and light caramel.

Wynkoop Parade of Darks 2011. Darkish brown appearance with a tan head. Moderate toasty coconut, cocoa, light vanilla, milky aroma. Very nice toasty coconut, chocolate malty, light caramel flavor. Super easy drinking. I would love if they had this more often. One of the highlights of the fest.

Tap @ Wynkoop upstairs. Hazy golden appearance with a small, fluffy white head. Honey, slightly musty, mild barnyard, Belgian yeasty aroma. Quite a bit of honey, yet somewhat bitter, barnyard, Belgian yeasty, slightly syrupy flavor. Interesting idea but kind of blah.

On tap at the brewery. Pours with a hazy, light orange hued body with a slightly off-white head that leaves good lace. Aromas are hoppy, citrus, mild esters, spicy hop profile. Flavors are hoppy, spicy and fruity. If I had to guess I’d guess EKG. A bit herbal, dry. Well done English hopped IPA. Medium bubbles, dry and herbal. Medium bodied with a lasting bitterness.

On tap at the brewery. Pours with a murky bronze hue with a rather minimal off-white head. Decent lace though. Aromas are exaggerated dark fruits, raisins, fig, fig newton, dates, caramel, vinous, red currant. Dark fruit esters every where. Flavors are quite sweet and quite boozy. A good amount of bitterness but no real balance. Tons of dark fruits, medium to low bubbles. Thick. Alcohol is somewhat obvious.
