On tap at BruFrou. Inky black with a whiskey and chocolate aroma. Full bodied, it was velvety smooth giving me flavors of cocoa nibs, whiskey and chocolate syrup. Smooth and balanced. Yum.

I had this twice, once on tap at BruFrou fest and once at the brewery. At the fest my notes said:

"A sour saison, orange in color with a good tart lactic acid nose. Very sour and acidic but I’m also getting some whiskey from it. Unusual. 3.6"

In a much more sober state at the brewery on a beautiful Tuesday afternoon, I wrote:

"An orange-brown with a tart rye and oakey aroma. Tart pineapple and tangerine, oak, whiskey and fairly sweet. A really cool beer. 3.8-3.9"

So I’ll split the difference and give it a 3.8

Seems like this has been relaunched to mark the opening of the new A Line linking Union Station to the Denver Airport, I didn’t realize it hadn’t been brewed since 2012! It’s now 5.2% and a

A pale gold brew that gives off notes of light malts and white grapes. Clean crisp light malts tickle my tastebuds. This is an easy drinking brew with a dried toast malt character while the hops seem to be like a fruit jam spread on top. Simple and tasty.

On tap at the brewery in Denver, it’s got a great name: Belgorado 6.7%

Clean gold in color topped with a thick white head from which a wheaty saison like aroma rises. The taste is very bitter with a big punch of floral hops. A clean belgian style IPA.

Draft at the brewery, 11/21/2015. Dark malts and a bit of smoke on the aroma. Tastes similar with a clean, mild finish. Bready notes as well. Light-medium body. Solid.

Draft at the brewpub, 11/21/15. Thought this was a pretty nice one. Reddish-copper in color. Nice fruit hop and caramel malts aroma and flavors. Good hop bitterness with some nice malts. Medium body. Drinks pretty nicely. Good beer overall.

Dark brown pour. Chocolate, coffee, and a bit of lactose come through in the aroma and flavor. A bit sweet with a nice roasty flavor. Nice, solidly made milk stout.

It has that Belgian yeast aroma, with some clove / spice to go along with some clean grassy and herbal type hops and some fruity hops as well. Flavor is along the same lines. I thought this was pretty drinkable, though not a top example of a Belgian-style IPA.
