Description
Fat Head's was founded in 1992 as a premiere craft beer tap house and restaurant in Pittsburgh, PA. In 2009 we expanded to Ohio and teamed up with our award-winning Head Brewmaster Matt Cole. With the explosion in popularity came the necessity to open a full-scale production brewery in 2012. Fat Head's Brewery produces original ales and lagers for distribution throughout Ohio and Western Pennsylvania.

Our Tap House offers Samples, Flights, and Fresh-brewed Pints! Sit right in the heart of our facility and enjoy the freshest beer from our tanks to your pint glass. We have a 16 tap draft system, bar seating, picnic tables, and some seriously tasty grub to go with it.

Pour os a clear copper with a large white head. Aroma is pungent cinnamon and ginger. Flavor is the same cinnamon and ginger but there is a odd plastic aftertaste. Started out ok but the odd aftertaste kind of ruined this.

Super clear coloured body, but a nice bright copper coloured body, with a thickish, two to three centimetre tall tan head that stays afloat nicely. Aroma of crisp citrus fruits, apples, pears, light malt notes, some flowers and a dry herbal bite at the end. Medium-bodied; Grassy and dry, citrusey flavour at first with noticeable bitterness and alpha acids and a good cleanser-like bite that does show some alcohol warmth, but relatively clean-drinking and robust - very old school, very hoppy East Coast Imperial IPA-ey. Aftertaste is rich, but very hoppy, with the dry notes, alcohol, warmth, floral, grassiness that has a ton of alpha acids, but enough support from the malt, crisp dryness and alcohol warmth that makes this rich and enjoyable. Overall, a nice older school Imperial IPA from the East coast that hits the hops and bitterness nicely, while being balanced and flavourful and one dimensional, still. Great to try fresh and well-recommended, if you can find it of course! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Gettysburg Beer Mart in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania on 12-May-2021 for US$4,99, canned on 12-February-2021, sampled at my house here in Washington on 07-June-2021.

Pours clear amber orange with a one finger head. The aroma is mostly caramel malt. The malty flavor is sweet with caramel and mild hops bitterness. It works fairly well.

16 ounce can. Frothy beige head. Spotty lacing. Big, citrusy, pine hop aroma. Flavor is light biscuity malt. Then comes the hopstravaganza. Notes of grapefruit, bitter lemon and black pepper. Finishes dry with resiny pine that lingers on the palate forever. Wow.
