Clear golden topped with a lasting off white cap that thins to a swirl.
Nose is grass, herb, green hop exhaust, bitter fruits esters.
Taste comprises straw, hedgerow, herb, lemon rind.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close peppered with earthy hop bitterness.
Tidy well rounded Green Hop affair.

Nose is orange zest, grass, pale malts, melon.
Taste comprises soft malts, breads, melon, tangerine.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying close laced with mellow hop bitterness.
Tidy cask offering as is the norm here.

Clear golden with a just off white head that dissipates to a swirl over time.
Nose is pale malts, grass, straw, light breads, dull fruit esters.
Taste comprises grass, light citric nip, straw, toasted grains, malt forward.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying close spiked with mellow hop bitterness.
Tidy enough English IPA.

Nose is airy malts, melon, tangerine, grass.
Taste comprises soft malts, hint of vanilla, light breads, modest citric peel.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close splashed with mellow hop bitterness.
Passable pale ... not Four Candles finest ... a touch sweet and flabby.

Half pint from the cask at the brewpub. Pours clear amber with a white head. Aromas & tastes of citrus, grapefruit, earth & hops. Moderate body. Light bitter finish. Quite enjoyable

Cask at the Four Candles, 18/07/24. Amber pour with a light beige cap that thins to a swirl. Nose is biscuit, dried fruits, raisins, brown bread. Taste comprises toffee, biscuit, fruit cake mix, stewed fruits. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close. Tidy flavoursome bitter.

Gravity cask at the Four Candles, 29/03/24. Clear golden blonde topped with a just off white head that veers edgewards. Nose is mellow Nelson, grass, orange peel, melon, soft malts. Taste comprises ripe melon, papaya, mandarin, light stoned fruit presence, Nelson kiss. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close splashed with juicy lightly Nelson loaded hop bitterness. Tidy cask Nelson affair.

Taste comprises straw, toasted malts, tangerine, lemon rind, melon. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Passable pale ... lacks hop presence.

Cask at the Four Candles, Broadstairs, 24/11/23. Clear golden with a good sized jus toff white cap formed of tightly knit bubbles. Nose is melon, tangerine, grass, soft malts, grains. Taste comprises orange zest, tangerine, grapefruit kiss, light breads, lemon nip, airy malts. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close splashed with mellow light juice laden hop bitterness. Tidy cask sessioner ... one of those that slips away quickly.
