Dunkler, süßlich alkoholischer Beginn, deutlich kräutrig, Rosmarin, Thymian, Nuancen von Zitrus. Die Süße ist mir zu stark, der Alkohol drückend. Unsüffig, schwer. 9/7/5/6/9/6

Very nice standard stout base. Definitely a dessert: kakao beans and vanilla. Yet it's not a pastry stout, less sweet than that. Still, I'd love to try this barrel aged in rum or amburana barrels, something to give it a bit more complexity.

Didn't love it at first but it grew on me. Exactly as stated: a Tripel / Berliner Weisse hybrid. The use of grape sugar instead of candi sugar makes a huge difference. Ultimately this is quite vinous. Really nice treat. My first Tyrell.

"Tyrell Gerstenwein, Jahrgang 2023", 75-cl-Flasche (Flaschennr. 0469) von Ambrosetti, 1-2 Jahre daheim gelagert. - Trübes Rotbraun. - In der Nase konzentriertes dunkles Malz, Zuckersirup, Anklänge an gebrannte Mandeln und dunkle Schokolade, Waldbeeren, Mandarinen und bittere Orangenschale. - Antrunk massiv dunkelmalzig mit Milchschokolade, Rumrosinen und sirupartig schwerer Süße. Leise kühlende Züge und intensive Orangenschalenbittere mit trockenem Kakao. Mild rezent, mastig, nur dezente alkoholische Wärme. Im Abgang satt malzig, mokkabiiter und maßvoll hopfenherb. - Enorm schwerer, mächtiger Gerstenwein mit dominierender, sirupartiger Malzigkeit, eigenartiger kühler Gewürznote und und insgesamt zu schwacher Hopfengrundierung (trotz guter Hopfenaromen), leicht exzentrisch und nicht völlig überzeugend.
