Description
Over a decade of unpleasant commuting into London and a love of homebrewing lead to the Potton Brewing Co being established in late 2017, with our first beers hitting the local pubs the following spring.

Our beers are made from only the finest ingredients and no corners are cut in order to save a few pennies. We produce a range of different beers, from the traditional to the more modern, with the occasional seasonal or special.

Our beer is available to the pub trade, shops and public in cask and bottle.

NB - Not to be confused with Potton Brewery which closed in 2016.

Cask @ Cricketers Arms, Bedford. Mid-brown beer with a hint of red. Lively at first but clears quickly. The aroma is floral and fruity, but fairly weak so difficult to detect. The taste is bittersweet on the way down with a bitter finish. Slightly soapy. All in all it is a decent enough beer but the profile is too weak for my taste.

Cask gravity at Firkin Ale House. Clear amber colour. Touch of rubber on the flavour. It’s a little not great. Just about ok

Served on Cask at the Sussex Arms, Twickenham (Dec ’11). Dark blonde to light amber in coulour with a small frothy white head - looked in good form! Hops and citrus dominated the smell, though neither were of an overbearing nature. Tastes were of grain, straw, hops, citrus - probably lemon, perhaps a hint of grapefruit. Mouthfeel was ok, not a strong beer by ABV and little lacing on the glass perhaps a little thinner than I prefer, but this is not to detract from a decent cask ale with a good bit mroe flavour than others at 3.6% ABV!
