Can. 9.5% ABV. Coffee, spices, licorice, roasted malts, cocoa and alcohol in a very pleasant blend. Notes of oat crackers and brown sugar. There's some prune and a distinct fruity sour touch as well, adding to the complexity. Not much sourness though, but enough to make me consider how much I like the beer. Sample at Mandag i Annen, Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 9.5%. Black colour. Aroma of roast malts, molasses, caramel, chocolate, vanilla, chili, oak and bourbon. Sweet (but not cloying) flavour with the same elements.

Sample from can, as Emporium Stromboli Pastry Sour, at Mandag i Annen, Cardinal, Stavanger. Signal red colour, pink head. Aroma and flavour like a blend of Donald Duck soda and strychnine. Disgusting, nearly undrinkable.

Aroma: caramel, dark fruits, bold, sweet, a bit perfume and meaty, oak notes.
Taste: along the same lines, full-bodied, deep dark fruits and brown sugars in aftertaste.
Overall: pretty nice.

Poured from 355mL can (thanks Derek & JF). Dark brown with very minimal beige head. Soft dark dried fruits with mild barrel character. A touch thin, but decent sweet-booze ratio.

Aroma: American oak, dark sugars and fruits, some sweetness.
Taste: noticeable whiskey notes, American oak, a bit oily, brown sugars, moderately sweet. Full-bodied (and I don't think it is 10% 😂).
Overall: good one 👍

Poured from 355mL can (thanks Derek & JF). Near black with small tan head. Dry oak, nice rye quality, mild cocoa, medium body (hence the 7.5 overall), but quite decent.

Mi2 på Cardinal, og Luis er på besøk medbringende et knippe canadiske øl fra sitt emporium, de fleste er 0,473 bokser: nesten helt svart med fint skum som varer lenge. Et snopeøl i luksusklassen, helt uten skarpe kanter. Dessertchokolader, bourbon, vanilje/eik, nytrukket espresso. Kanskje kveldens beste.
