A dark brown ale with a thick frothy mocha head. In aroma, sweet caramel malt with light grassy hops, light mineral notes, light vanilla, pleasant. In mouth, sweet caramel malt with light vanilla, butterscotch, light grassy hops, light mineral notes, OK. On tap at brewery.

Bottle from Brou Ha Ha at the farm. Pitch black opaque pour with bubbly dissipating head. Aroma is toasted malt like a light stout. Taste follows. Light and crisp like a black lager or light stout. Not my favorite style but not bad at all, just not much going on. Initial mild bitter crispness followed by roasted malt.

Pours a real dark brown colour, almost black, with a big creamy beige head that has great retention and nice full lacing. Roasted malt aromas with hints of chocolate and some decent yeast. The taste is milder with the burnt malts, chocolate malts and some light hops in the finish. This is actually surprisingly a good black pils.

Pours a hazy amber colour with a golden hue. The head is creamy, off-white, long lasting and with some thick foam lacing. Fruity malt aromas with lots of sweetness. The taste is fruity, but not as sweet. The hops come in quickly to grass things up. A medium dryness appears in the finish. Probably their best brew so far, but nothing exceptional.

Pours an amber colour with golden highlights and hazed by many unfiltered particles. The head is frothy, light-beige, holds on for a while and gives creamy lacing. Grassy amber beer nose with some hints of orange. Some burnt malts in the taste with the grassy hops. Maybe some chocolate from that place I visited that was quite nice, in Montebello, but not chocolate malts to push the whole thing, the right way. I feel more the orange zest from the ingredients, even though after chocolate. Really not sure about this one. And not fully impressed by this brewery yet.

Bottle: Poured a dark amber color ale with a relatively large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of light dark chocolate notes with some dry caramel malt notes also noticeable. Taste is dominated by light dry caramel malt notes with some grainy notes and some black chocolates notes are also noticeable thought not as dominant as I would have expected. Body is full enough with good carbonation. Nothing to write home about but good effort of incorporating chocolate notes.

Bottle: Poured a hazy golden amber color ale with a medium size foamy head with OK retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of floral honey notes with light grainy notes also noticeable. Taste is also dominated by sweet floral honey notes with light grainy notes with timid cereal notes also noticeable. Body is full enough with good carbonation. Better than the other offering from this new brewery but nothing to write home about.

Enjoyed at the brewpub. Pours a rich amber colour with a creamy white head, good retention and lots of lacing. A little sour smell at first, like mild infection, but it slowly fades away, releasing fruity malts, light sweetness from the honey and hints of yeast. The taste started sour as well, but disappeared quicker. Mild infection is still present in the finish. The yeast balances things with the very mild grain and some fruitiness. Being brewed at Ferme Brasserie Schoune, I understand why this would be infected. Other than that, a decent amber session brew with the honey only showing a little in the aromas.

Enjoyed at the brewpub. Pours a slightly hazy deep amber colour with a small white head and minimal lacing. Fruity aromas with light grassy hops and hints of dark fruits. The mouthfeel is medium-bodied with a little dryness. The taste is a nice mix of fruitiness (oranges) and with some hops in the finish. Mild yeast lingers. Much better than their other honey brew - La Reine du Mont Vinoy.
