Description
De Halve Maan Brewing Company is a family brewery in the heart of Bruges, Belgium. The brewery was restarted and refined by Veronique Maes in 2005. With unique beer recipe on the work, the brewery was renamed as ‘Brugse Zot’. Brugse Zot beer became the only beer that is personally brewed in the town center of Bruges. The Brugse Zot and Straffe Hendrik beers are two of the brewery’s finest types of beers. Straffe Hendrik beer is filled with bitter ale while the Brugse Zot is rich in fruity flavor along with different types of malts and hoppy aromas.

33cl bottle @Fish&Beer,Copenhagen. Dark brown with a red hew & creamy lasting head. Nose is caramel, yeast & dried fruits. Smooth, soft & filling body. Sweet taste of chocolate & raisin. Expects a lot from this style and this one was good - but still somehow average!

Bottle from Wine Warehouse Charlottesville. Pours golden amber with massive white foamy head with good retention and lacing. So many large chunks of sediment that it practically looks like an inverted snow globe. Bitter aroma with some honey and citrus. Starts off with some pretty typical Belgian flavors and then goes right into an earthy thing that tastes a lot like mushrooms. I like mushrooms, but on the pizza I’m eating with the beer, not the beer itself. This is bizarre.

25 cl bottle. Pours hazxy yellow with a white head. Light malty and yeasty aroma. Flavour starts with a mild fruity note and a lingering Belgian yeasty mellow tone. Light dried fruity note lingering into the finish. Light spice note too. Finish is much the same. Nice and lighter than the brune.6-3-6-3-12=3.0
