Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of yngwie. Pours an almost clear golden with an off-white head leaving laces. Sweet fruity aroma with some alcohol present. Solid body, sweet and lightly perfumy fruits with lots of yeast and phenols. Rather bitter and astringent - quinine-like. 010510

Bottle 33 cl. Orange, hazy with a minimal offwhite head. Aroma; I got a light flu, so can’t smell too good, but want a good beer anyway... huff, ok, nice fruity! some yeast? Citrus? Flavor; again nice hoppy, yeast and I’m not sure but banana? Light bitter ending. I guess I would give it an eight without the d... flu.

Bottle. An unclear, orange-golden beer topped by a finger-thick off-white head soon diminishing into a layer of bubbles. Curtains . A bit weak on the nose, but nice, with citrus-peel, green pinecones and doughy pale malts. Some orange as well. Citrusy, sweet, piney flavor with pale malts and a good bitterness. Nothing extreme here, just pleasant. A bit sweet on the palate maybe, full-bodied and with a fine carbonation. Citrus peel, orange and bitterness in the finish. A really fine beer, quite refreshing even though it’s a bit on the sweet side. My GF found it belgian-inspired, I can certainly see what she means. 100201

330 ml bottle. Clear golden body with a big off-white head. Aroma is citric fruity, spicy and light caramel. Flavor has a soft and smooth maltiness with moderate caramel, fruit and a sharp bitterness. Soft and not to dominating malt flavor, refreshing with a quite strong bitterness that dominate the aftertaste.

After two months of darkness the sun came back today in my part of the globe. Paying homage to the returning sun, I picked a 330ml bottle of this new Italian beer available at Vinmonopolet. Foggy, light golden body under a frothy, white head with lots of dimples. Persistent lacing on the glass. Fresh fruity aroma together with a little spice. Wheat, late banana and oranges in flavour mingled with spices and yeasty fruitiness. Long-lived and gentle bittersweet ending. Very refreshing. Stands out as a cross between a weissbier and an ipa. Enjoyable and rather new fangled expression of the style (Soldagen, Tromsø 21.01.2010).

330 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Also available in Norway at Vinmonopolet. ABV is 7.8%. Deep golden colour, slightly hazy, with a big white head. Lovely aroma of Belgian ale yeast, banana, coriander and mild spices. In the flavour, American hops dominate with a substantial bitterness from start to finish, on a more subtle background of "Belgian" sweetness with some citrussy and spicy notes. This cross between a Belgian triple and an American IPA is a reminder that Italy is one of the most interesting "new" craft beer countries in Europe.

Flaske 0,33l kjøpt på Vinmonopolet i Tromsø. Aprikosfarget. Veldig uklar. Lavt skum. Sterk fruktig aroma. God! Litt banan. Vel avrundet smak med citrus i forgrunnen. Smaken utvikler seg i bitter retning. Skryt til Polet for å ta inn øl fra Italia.
