Tap @ Wildeman. Slight hazy red brown color, medium off-white head. Aroma of hop, caramel malt, slight peppery. Hoppy and spicy taste, with a nicely balanced amount of chili peppers. I still wonder why so many brewers like to implement this spice in beers, because most of the time it is very much overdone. It doesn’t add anything to the already wide range of beers most brewers produce, but I guess it does show craftsmanship if you are able to brew a decent chili beer. So for that: this one was good.

On tap at Carlsens Kvarter, Odense. Dark amber with a lasting white head. Malty aroma with a strong note of diacetyl, some caramel and grain. Sweet yet drinkable, but a diacetyl bomb.

Bottle. Amber color. malt, butter and cookies in the aroma. malty buttery flowery flavor. Slightly alcoholic with a slight burning sensation on the tongue, getting just a bit stronger as the beer warms up. Cinnamon. Perfectly acceptable, even if you don’t like chili.

Bottled. Murky reddish orange colour with mediumsized creamy slightly off-white head. Aroma is citrusfruits, wheat, mild honeyish sweetness as well as some yeasty notes. Flavour is quite the same, in a rather nice balance. Quite dry finish for a wheatbeer.

Bottle. Almost black and opague. Creamy aroma with anis and vennel, not too obviously present. Creamy flavor with ash, anis and vennel. Not unpleasant, only the aftertaste is a bit too spicy.
