Bottle. Reddish brown color. Malt, licorice, coreander and anis in the spicy aroma. Malty sweet, spicy flavor with anis, licorice and coreander. Hints of pear. The spices are not too dominant, therefore this is a pleasant, maybe a bit too sweet ale.

Amber color; big head. Unfortunately the aroma is herbal and soapy. Medium body, quite smooth mouthfeel, sweetish malt, with a disturbing soap touch. Not the kind of beer that I like.

Red-amber color. Nice caramel and malt aroma, mature, with cookies. Very rich malt flavor, good body, caramel flavor too, sweet; good bitterness, good hopping, nice ending warmth. Medium complexity, but extremely enjoyable.

Bottled (Mallaskukko, BB 02/2010). Dark amber color, small off-white head. Toffeish aroma with notes of American hops (citrus and pine). Also flavor has toffeish base and then pale malts, rye bread and piney hops. Very sweet APA, but perhaps it is because this is Easter beer. Short sweetish-bready finish.
