330 ml bottle, from Vaaland, Bryne. ABV is 4.5%. Black colour, huge tan head, takes forever to settle at a drinkable level. Pleasant aroma of red wine, chocolate and roast malts, hints of leather and oak. Roasty flavour, slightly sweet, good mouthfeel for a 4.5% beer, roast malts, strong coffee and dark bitter chocolate, solid hops - and unexpected notes of tar and smoke.

330 ml bottle, from Vaaland, Bryne. "Sell by" date 07 2014. ABV is 4.5%. Clear golden colour, large white head. Lovely aroma of tropical fruits and elderflowers. Light bodied as expected, still some malty sweetness in the flavour. Tastes fresh despite its age, lightly fruity and refreshing.

Thank you Mathieu87 & PriorL! 375 ml. bottle sampled @ “Mathieu’s house cooling party”. Dark amber with no head. Nose oddly carries some chlorine, sugar, acidic, old wood, herbal. Taste is strongly oxidized, chlorine, sugar, chemical, strong oxidation notes, sugar, herbs, old wet wood,… Thin with low carbonation. Happy to try this one but I feel like this one has been entirely lost to oxidation in a bad way. It is a shame but all things must come to an end.

On tap @Brasserie 4:20 (Rome). Pours unclear yellow with a minimal head. Aromaof wild yeasts, barnyard, fruits (lemon, grape, light peach), some cheese. Flavour is medium sour and tart, a bit rough. Medium body, light carbonation. Interesting, but it could be refined.

On tap @Brasserie 4:20 (Rome). Pours golden, a bit unclear, with a little but persistent white head. Aroma of mentuccia, esters and balsamic notes, weird! Flavour is medium sour, quite balanced, still balsamic notes and some mineral. Medium body, light carbonation. Different class.

Bottle - Lots of dark fruit, light booze and molasses sweetness. Deep jet brown with a light brown head. Sweet, dark fruit and a touch of sweet alcohol heat. Complex and quite nice.

2011 vintage. 500mL bottle, pours inky black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out decadent chocolate, a touch of roast, alcohol and some sherry oxidation. Flavour is decadent and complex as hell, with liqueur, booze and chocolate. Boozy, but in a pleasant way. Liqueury on the finish. Really a wonderful beer.
