Bottle at home, from Yards & Crafts online, 12/07/23. Extremely dark mahogany brown verging in light black topped with a khaki head that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is chocolate, dark malts, light barrel, nutty, earthy, dried fruit rinds. Taste comprises chocolate, booze, whisky kiss, oak, dark fruit rinds, pinch of spice, roasted tones, hint of coffee, tobacco. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light kiss of alcohol. Sips easy for the ABV but also lacks some depth and barrel notes. It's fine but not one to revisit.
