Pours somewhst clear, dark coppery brown, topped with larger foamy offwhite head, not so lasting. Medium malty nose, some chocolate and some roastiness and hints of caramel, a bit of grassiness. Medium grassy bitterness, with some roastiness present in the back. Slight peppery finish. Herbal/medicinal aftertaste. Sparkly texture. Lighter body. Ok.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, no can dating. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy medium golden amber color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, pine, cracker, white bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate pale malt notes; with solid strength. A bit muddy aromas. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, pine, cracker, white bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, pine, cracker, white bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Fairly crisp/clean finishing. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness and carbonation. Medium-high carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy/sticky, and slightly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.5%. Overall this is a very nice session IPA. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink with the modestly bitter/drying finish, not overly aggressive. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. This was advertised as Citra/Amarillo; but it is mostly Amarillo, with underlying Citra. Very vibrant, dank, and earthy hop complexity; nice bready malt backbone, with minimal residual sweetness. A very enjoyable and well made offering for the ABV/style.

Bottle at Root's wedding - HamTech. Tasty, some slightly artificial gummy peach candies, grapefruit, zest, rind. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes with more pithy citrus. Fine. Not something I'd seek out, though.

Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle, Belgian White 100, poured into a weizen glass. Hazy pale golden with small bright white head. Aroma is coriander, medium/light body, mediun/well carbonated, and good small bubble lacing. Taste is wheat esters, a little orange peel, and a little coriander.

Draught @ Albion. Cloudy pale yellow with small frothy whitish head, orange aroma, low carbonation, mildly bitter citrusy taste, thin watery body, long medium bitter finish. Not very remarkable.

Can, from Malt & Mold. The can states West End Brewing as the trademark owner. Pours clear golden with large foamy whitish head, faint malt aroma, high carbonation, sweetish malty taste with very little hops flavor, thin watery body, abrupt finish. Generic, though I understand that it's a historic beer.
